It's just great.

If you were interested in trying out the extraction shooter genre, ARC is the perfect game to try. People will generally be friendly if you have a mic and speak to them, but there will always be players that are more interested in fighting other players. The looting and crafting system is simple and streamlined, and it generally takes less than a minute to start running around from the moment you start matchmaking, removing a lot of downtime. The weapons also handle very well and feel very responsive.

I have never played a Souls game before, but this game is incredibly fun and really draws me in. While it is difficult at first, once you start to get a hang of dodging and swinging at the right time, the game starts to open up. It truly is a trial by fire, and it makes the game all the more rewarding when you succeed.

Honestly I don't really know how to make a review for a game as special as Outer Wilds. I don't think any game I have played so far has had such a profound effect on me. I feel that the best review that I can give this game is to say as little as possible, and I whole-heartedly recommend this to basically everyone. I don't think there is a single person that would not enjoy the experience this game creates.

After seeing a youtube video about the game, I decided to purchase and try it out. Within a week of seeing that video, I have managed to play for over 25 hours and even completed the game, something which can't be said for the other VR games in my library. As a fan of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, I can say this game is similar, but I would hesitate to say it's simply a VR version. It does not have factions, as much depth and lore, or the variety you get in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but it easily makes up for those with how satisfying it is to use the weapons in this game, and how much scarier it is to feel as if you are actually in the exclusion zone. Multiple times, I have actually screamed out loud at certain enemies or situations when I first started, something no other game has managed to make me do. That, however, made it all the more satisfying once I got the hang of things and gained more confidence.

Pros
- Great gun-play
- Challenging, for VR veterans
- Atmosphere
- Realistic resource management (individually load mags, clean guns to stop jamming, space management, etc)
- Sense of skill progression based on your own physicality (improving accuracy, reload speed, knife throwing)

Cons
- Requires decent GPU (2070s or better) to be playable in certain areas
- Minor glitches, some major, though beta 2.0 just dropped and is still being worked on
- Frustrating to play if you aren't used to VR controls and tendencies

Overall I do recommend this; it is my favorite VR game I have played so far (Half Life: Alyx in close second) and if you want something a bit scary and hard, you should definitely check it out.

At first, I thought Subnautica was just another "typical" early access game when I first bought it. I maybe played it for 5 hours before I gave up. Then, the developers added much more to the game, even a storyline. This enticed me to keep playing, and after about 30 minutes, I needed to complete the game. I have never experienced storytelling in the same way that Subnautica does it (primarily through interpretation of information left behind in the forms of audio logs or journal/encyclopedia entries). It was amazing piecing together what was happening on and to the planet, until the game suprises you with the truth. Being someone who is terrified of dark water and large sea monsters, Subnautica kept me on the edge doing my best to survive. I imagine, though, that this game would be scary for anyone that first picks it up. The thing is, Subnautica has this way of making players comfortable with their surroundings through the amazing visuals and soundtrack. Even those terrified of the ocean would enjoy this game. From a gameplay perspective, there was never a problem with progression. The placement of resources allows even the more unfamiliar players to navigate their way easily through the beginning of the game. Also, the whole underwater survival style of gameplay has never been done as well as this before. I recommend this game both to new and veteran game players. I hope it brings as much joy to others as it did for me.

Very nice game to play. It can be somewhat relaxing with a friend when you both can communicate well. There are some creepy elements added to the atmosphere, with one part being particularly unsettling. However, the game manages to not leave you fearing the unknown, but rather wanting to explore it. The puzzles are not terribly difficult, and can be accomplished through trial and error if they are found to be too challenging. While the game takes only 40 minutes to an hour to complete, it has some replayability for when you wish to switch roles, or get all of the achievements. This game is good fun and well worth the download.

After 4 years, and with the massive sale currently, as well as tank crew coming in the near future, I now change my view to a recommendation. With more polish, much more content, and easy access now to all player types (for the time of the sale), I can definitely say that this game is now worth every cent.

I have been with this game for a while. In the beginning, it was a great plane game and it wasn't a very grindy game. Then, they added tanks, which were pretty cool and worked well at first. However, Gaijin's bias towards russian vehicles slowly started to rear its ugly head. Yak-3s can out-turn spitfires and retain energy better than p-51s. T-34s can bounce AP rounds from King Tigers and Pershings. Gaijin also drastically decreased the research gained from playing that now the game is all about grinding. With every update, the game gets a little worse, the most recent being the ATGM Tanks update, where of course, the russian one is the best of them all. Do not get this game with any expectation other than it is a serious grind, and if you are not playing as Russia, you are gonna feel the xa )))).
