After playing for around 100 hours [nearly 200 as of updating this] (steam wasnt counting my hours from the beggining for some reason) this is the best racing sim out there ! Why negative review? Couple of things:

Safety rating system is totaly trash and needs to be reworked. Someone used you as a break? Yea u get 4x for that. Someone hit your back wheel and made u spin off track? Yea thats also your fault, 2x at best. Someone is re-entering track straight infront of your bonnet? Yea thats 4x for you. Also netcoding can be a huge problem sometimes. U can get 4x for 0 contact or just out of blue rarely. On top of that, u can submit a dispute on player for intentionaly griefing (for ex driving into you , using you as a break and so on) and yes they will say u are right but player will just get a e-mail warning with no consequences. And your safety rating? Yes , they cant adjust that. So after all disputes are usless, even if u dispute unfair system incident that u got for not your fault they cant adjust your safety rating.

Why do we stress so much about safety rating then? Oh its because races that you can participate in depends on your safety racing class. Getting trough rookie and D class is straight up hell. People dont know basics of racing and dont want to understand them. Things get not so much but kinda better in C class, but here is another problem. There is only 1 free race (basic subscription content) in C class and not always on free track so there are weeks that u cant race in that class. After u get trought all that rookie and D class hell now u have to spend minimum of 60$ for cars and some tracks(if we talk about sports car racing). And even then there is no guarantee you would be able to race in every week. Also its pretty important to note that GT3 races are ONLY available in B safety racing class , 90% of them on paid tracks. Kinda weird as they claim that they are creating standard for GT3 in sim racing. All that in a subscription based game. But there is another problem. As you progress with your irating you gonna quickly realise that your logitech wheel is simply not enough. You cant keep up with players with better gear. Now you gotta invest for something better. Althought its not a straight up game problem but i thought its worth noting.

Speaking of gear, a widescreen or 2 screens are basic requirment for this game. On single screen you got just 1 virtual mirror above you and thats not enough to be able to race smoothly and safely. Game is not offering you addidional left and right virtual mirrors for single screen users for some reason, would help a lot to have safer races overall. Now lets talk about graphics. Cars look pretty good and detailed, same goes with other minor details around you or things like weather. But enviroment looks like its still a 2008 game. Everything around you is outdated and looks like its build out of cardboard, would call it ps2 garphics at best. With this game being that expensive its a joke. It should look somewhat decent even tho its a sim and its not super inportant stuff. Microtransactions are not only mandatory to keep playing but also too expensive. 12$ for single car and 15$ for track is way too expensive in a subscription based game. And u cant really test content that you are buying unless you actually buy it. And there are no refunds. So there is a chance that you will buy a car that u are not gonna use cuz it wont suit you. They should add yearly exchange tokens or something or at least test drive for cars/tracks.

But after all that is the best sim racing game out there. Game is super realistic , fells great and is really competitive . You could have a ton of fun racing getting your laps time better, praticing new techniques that translates to real life racing too. There is nothing else like iRacing at the moment and we cant sadly deny that. Would love to see drift/rally events added to this game or stock factory car races too, im kinda missing those from other sims like AC. Overall if you buy yearly subscription on black friday sale, invest 100$ for content and you will get to high safety racing class you can have pretty constant fun racing expirience in this game. As a casual player like me i wouldnt really recommend this game unless you are trying to get competitive. It will cost you a soul and a deep hole in your pocket. There are plenty of other decent sim racing games to just have casul fun for fraction of price of iRacing. But if you are looking for really competitive driver focused racing iRacing is for you.

Also funny fact worth mentioning, players from US will get their exact state from where they are from , but there are no division into countries from europe, its just Europe. I guess that was too much work? I dont know Funny enough they did added that shortly after i mention this , i guess they reading reviews after all ? :D
