This has become one of the greatest RPG's of it's era. I followed the development for KCD since its early days and they definitely delivered, especially since it was a startup. The first game gets me excited for the second game for sure. I think one of the main things that separates this game from other games is the reputation system, where you can actually make decisions that impact the storyline and relationships with other people in the game. The world reacts to you in a realistic way that not many games have been able to replicate.

I was hoping there would be more similarities with the original Carnivores Dinosaur Hunter, but for what it is, it does good at bringing back a game from my childhood era. To make it more like the original, the devs need to put in a shotgun and double barrel shotgun, especially since there are only 3 guns to choose from on a hunt in the current version. They also need to put the large dinosaurs with the long necks in the water off the coast to make the world seem less empty and more immersive. The game is also missing a few crucial dinosaurs from the original game: the passive Dimetrodon, the Allosaurus, the Spinosaurus, and the Velociraptor. I think it would be a nice touch to program some of the dinos to swim like they did. Finally, I would like to see death animations like the original game. It was such an adrenaline rush when you would get eaten by the carnivores and slung around by a T-Rex. Now when you die the game just fades to black, which i think is a little anticlimactic. Most of what I have addressed would be simple for the devs to add the assets to the game and it would greatly improve the game. This game gets a 7 out of 10.

It has its bugs and performance issues but i would say it sets the benchmark for Flight Simulators to come. Not only is it fun and can be a game but it can also be a powerful training tool, even more than past flight simulators since the realism and satellite imagery take it to a whole new level that has never been seen before.

---EDIT---

It has been about 5-6 months since I last reviewed Microsoft Flight Simulator. Since then, they have released many updates and patches that have made the simulator significantly better. There are way less bugs and performance has been noticeably improved. I tried using X-Plane 11 again to compare and i couldn't stand it. Microsoft Flight Simulator is worlds apart from earlier simulators and there is simply no going back.

Early Access Review
If you've ever played Insurgency Sandstorm - Its like that but in a WWII setting. I would say it's the most realistic WWII shooter out there right now.

Overall runs well on my PC - Ryzen 2600, RTX 2060 Super. Averages 60 FPS. Occasional frame drops but I wouldn't hit it too hard since it is an Early Access game; they will release patches that will improve performance.

If you like slow paced, realistic, strategic shooters, you can't go wrong with this title. If you only like fast paced shooters like COD and Battlefield, This title might not be your favorite. Also people who like WWII history will love this game because it features the most popular guns of WWII and realistic uniforms.

Overall Gameplay - 8
Graphics - 10
Story - Nonexistent
Customizability - 5
Realism - 10
Sound - 9
Ease of use - 7

Early Access Review
Thought it would be boring, gathering resources and automating the crafting processes just to have to make new products, but it took me by surprise how polished and in depth the game was especially for an early access title. There is definitely more to it than what you see on the surface. The need for exploration and combat to be able to research new items as well as fixing bottlenecking issues in machines and belts can keep you busy for hours and can be rewarding once you accomplish what you set out to do. You can really let your imagination run wild when making your base and developing how the machines work.

So basically

Can't play in 1080p
Crashes are common and inevitable
Frame rate? What's that? You wont get over 30
Developers Fail to patch any of the issues and that's why everyone else is giving it negative reviews
When the game crashes there is no error reporting system so devs don't get reports to fix the game
Glitches
Returned it after an hour and a half of failed troubleshooting

It's *okay* if you play at 720p or less
other than that just don't bother
I usually don't give negative reviews but you can't call this a game. It's an abomination.
I've seen single-dev games / startups with better support than this.
