Barely touched after beating the story. There's little to do, and my game barely ran before the content updates. At least the resolution is nostalgic; it's like I'm playing the playstation 2 release. Seeing how much CAPCON has been glazing the release I quickly lose hope for the series. These reviews may be stopping others from buying, but they won't return what has been spent. This is why I ask steam:

LET US REFUND!

Buyer Beware, AI Icons, dropped features, and abandoned development.

This game was promising, with a great concept. The devs took feature after feature out, eventually slapping together a dry 1.0 version.

I don't need big words.
I don't need fancy words.
Instead, this will describe how much they dropped the ball:

Lmao.

Have you ever heard of Starbound? This is airship Starbound. A sudden, drastic change from Early Access to Full release, making it more streamlined, less unique, and more commercial. While i'm okay with some things (Puzzles, treasures), the lack of crafting your own gear, ships parts no longer being changeable, and having to unlock ships just makes me feel sad. Unlocking things through progression is a way devs make you focus on the story, but pushes you into a linear play style this game didn't have much of in EA.

The story doesn't even seem that much longer than EA. Despite the changes, the speed you go through it all feels just as quick, possibly even quicker. Plus, some of the story changes are wacky. Like, unless they pull a sudden twist, I can already tell a majority of what is going to happen from just the prologue.

Basically, it's another interesting game streamlined by Tiny Build and turned into another faceless product.

Too little content for the $25. Beat the story within 2 hours. The alternate versions are interesting looking, but still don't warrant the price. With how long the game was in development I was hoping for something "Fuller".

One step forward, Two steps back.
Take ppg, give it more creativity and control over characters, then make incredibly unintuitive controls, a confusing customization system, and less intrigue.

The ability to create what you want is cool and unique, but with the camera controls and lack of pre-made content, I don't see much worth owning this yet.

Early Access Review
Game dead on launch thanks to some really stupid design choices. Releasing broken with a fully functioning cash shop.

The game concept is cool, but it's made by incompetence. the attacks, abilities, basically doing anything, all have a half-second delay. Queue didn't exist, kicking you back into it once you found a match; now you can't even check to see if its working because no one plays.

If they want any people to play, they're gonna need some big plays. Make all the heroes free, remove costumes until full release, and reduce the price of the premium to $5. That, and beg people to come back: thats your only chance.

I'll recommend because I don't want this game to die already, and the faction brings a new and unique flavour. The big concern I bring with this is the air units being copy/paste. In rts, my biggest draw, excluding playability, is diversity. If factions exist with different cultures, views, and all that, i'd expect a varying roster of units that, while may be similar in regard to other units, is diverse enough to be called its own. Iron Harvest kind of does that with its mechs. I had thought they'd continue that with the air mechs they decided to add, but no. Every army now has the same air units and ground units, turning every faction into 'Dudes with guns and thin mechs' or 'dudes with guns and fat mechs'

One of my favourite rts is Grey Goo, which sadly died pretty early on.

A unique game in a world of mediocrity.

I see many people complain about a narrator, and some other non-issues. Narrator can be turned off, fighting style reminds me of arkham and spidey mans, which apparently is repetitive.

I don't feel like making any real in-depth review, mainly because my time in game is somewhat short.
The prologue is hand holdy, that I can agree with, and the story isn't what I expected at all; which could be a problem with others. The showing of the game and the story seem a bit disconnected.
The game feels like its trying to do everything at once, really. They seemed to have thought about cool ideas and tried adding them instead of seeing if they fit the world well. That, and a long development I feel are the major problems of the world feeling a bit 'off'.

Still, A mixed review seems off too me, it isn't perfect, but it's one of the few games I feel had work put behind it now a days. I was expecting a positive reception.

I recommend the game for being something interesting, but I can't give you the details. Read more on the game to see if its your fit.
