Updated Review. At this point, I would almost rate the game as Neutral. Even though the below issue of getting stuck 2 min into the game has been fixed, literally 50% of the multiplayer missions are bugged. Weapons you pick up break after 2 to 5 swings. Very unbalanced, and heavy on item management. I would trade a smaller backpack for weapons you didn't have to swap out after 4 hits. Some may say, well, its free.... but it does have a pay to win approach on acquiring items. If you don't, you sit and grind days for reputation just to buy a pair of shoes.

2nd Review after Dev fixed day one Steam bug.... 59/100 .

First Review

Bad day to recommend this game. Start game, you are stuck in tutorial. Sure, they will patch it, but this kind of development is not what you want on release day. Cannot restart char either. No amount of whomping zombies with tooth brushes can overcome poor game developers not checking the first 2 minutes of their game after a patch.

Early Access Review
Purchased approx 05/30/2013 Case Study in why all future crowdfunded games will have a stigma, and forever be hindered by scared " investors / funders ", becasue the game will probably not be finished.

Fraudulent company . They started with a Proof of Concept Demo in 2013. It never saw the light of day. What they sold, they never used and this is where ethics were thrown out the window. Bait and switch. They literally let you test drive a Ferrarri, while selling you a Ford Pinto . Their " Do We Deserve This " thread, which has been deleted by them, is a fitting reason of their own self destruction.

When your next desired Early Access, Crowdfunding, or otherwise pre-funded game tries to make bankroll... you can point to this group of unethical developers as why new games are not reaching funding goals. This game is second only to Towns, and is a case study why Steam dropped the ball on the rules of Early Access. Steam should have stepped in over 2 years ago and shut this down. They waited until late 2017 to even try to do anything. There is no way this game will see completion without being released totally unfinished.

When this title is finally put to rest by Steam, this company, Games Foundry, along with the devs need to have a public profile on how they were almost the pivotal reason why Early Access is failing.

Got it to up my game completion % . Which is what it does easily.

Advised : Autoclicker. Any will do, but Sourceforge has a very simple one OP Autoclicker 2.1 if you do not want something fancy that tracks mouse movements, etc. Set the clicks to 10 ms, and let it churn for about 10 minutes.

Strange game , but 100% achv under an hour.

Simple time passer game.

Not too complicated, and you do not have to spend time with it idling in the background. Can easily just randomly log in from time to time and game advances. Only after a reset will you have to spend a few minutes rebuilding your profit makers.

May take a week to a month/more to unlock the champions that have more impact.

Overall, not a complex game, not one you have to constantly monitor. Don't have to worry about guilds, etc, and it generally rewards you with ~50 gems a week if you do not wish to buy any.

8/10

STAY AWAY. Worth negative 20 cents.
This is pure garbage.
Needs a DMCA revocation for using non liscensed movie pictures at least for profit.
If you want the SAME game, go to a site that requires a CAPTCHA login recognition system. It's the same thing.
Consists of 20 pictures to look at and click letters of the picture.
I am ashamed I bought this, even with a coupon. STEAM should not allow this shovelware garbage on it's service. Gabe allows junk like this to ruin a service.
My fault for buying this shovelware trash.

Harsh review, but allowing junk like this is what kills the game industry, and looks like they are stealing content from movies. (not that I really care, but the game is so bad I will point it out)

Very enjoyable game. If you played the old C64 or Apple version back in the 80's, it is based off of that with a few tweaks. The story and puzzle mode give it a nice breath of fresh air. It is definetly a game for a niche audience, mostly the older players who grew up on these type of siimple and casual platform games.

The game mechanics are quite easy to master, with some new elements on how to spelunk around. IE jumping onto the spider threads. Can easily be played with a keyboard or controller. You can even set it up to work off of a simple directional controller and one button if you like, as in the original ( I think you can )

I did have an issue with the game not wanting to initiate my Nvidia graphics card on my laptop, as the generic Intel Graphics chip doesn't seem to be able to handle it. However, this is easily remedied by just going to the Nvidia control panel and assigning the game to run on high performan graphics. Many laptops tend to use both systems and sometimes the Nvidia setup doesn't recognize that a game needs to use it, when it is set to auto detect which is best.

4.2 / 5 For the nostalgia alone, it is worth the price.

Early front runner for RPG of the year. Can't say anything that most others have said.

The only dislike, and its just a joke, is that there is a Kickstarter only achievement you cannot get if you are a perfectionist, but that is a pebble of sand on a beach compared to how good the game is.

Interesting game in the Rogue-like category. 7/10
Overall, the game is worthy of several fun hours of play, and quite a lot of replayability. Simple gameplay, with simple graphics, and rules with basic rogue strategies. The downside right now as on release, is the GUI. It could benefit greatly from an overhaul, as there is a lacking of hotkeys, along with cluttered inventory management. Spell, and Skill selection consists of several mouseclicks to use, so setting up defenses, buffs, and attacks is a matter of 5 to 20 mouseclicks of manually selecting. Also, was the lacking of passing time by standing still, which from a strategic POV, hinders you in battle if there is 1 square difference between you and a foe. Even on Easy mode, there was a large gap in learning curve between dungeon levels. Almost as if it could use a tad bit more game balancing for one or two classes.

If you can get past some of the quirks, then it can lead to many hours of play. Be warned, its a true roguelike, with perma death, so it may not be everyones cup of tea. Its a simple battle of attrition to outlast each subsequent adventure.
