I haven't touched this game since Nov 2021.
And upon viewing hours of reviews (both text and video) I still see that the game is in the exact same spot as it was almost 2 years ago. Rife with exploiters and unfair life bans.

This game had potential. The combat system is amazing and made PvP more interesting and intense. The story was also going places, I dare say one of the most innovative MMOs on the market. I dare not add RPG to the end of that since those systems are frankly non-existent.

When I played the game, I found it immensely enjoyable, that was until a multi-guild community of gold farmers and bots moved onto the server I played on that made frequent use of the windowed mode exploit, and soon enough the servers multi-faction war zones were soon painted green, the purples and yellows having no leg to stand on, as whenever a siege happened, again the exploit was used and the gold farmers won.

When someone tried to report them, they were in turn mass reported, leading to their account being suspended for life. And when AGS support was contacted, they responded with the most unhelpful response as it effectively boiled down to "lmao cope".

I cannot recommend this game in its current state, it is still running rife with exploiters, hackers and bots. New World has potential, but AGS seem unwilling to let it live up to such.
