A great game that thrives off the chaos and carnage you create in the battle against Super Earth's enemies. While there have been a few small launch period bugs, I have had an enjoyable experience overall and had good performance. If you like hectic PVE games and are okay with a (large) chance of being killed (or killing) by friendly fire check it out.

It is a fantastic transition from the isometric camera in the first game to third person. The devs have done a wonderful job of retaining the style and feel while adding in a great sense of scale. In particular, I find using a stratagem to call down heavy ordinance much more satisfying.

A challenging but fun and rewarding game. Visuals are top notch and fit the over-the-top nature of the game. Very fast paced and intense! If you are a creative person it also has an incredibly detailed mech customization system that allows for a lot of cool looks.

Early Access Review
Crab Champions has a pretty good amount of content for its price point already. While I've run into a few bugs in my gameplay so far, only one of them has required restarting the run.

The music is great and the gameplay is fun! There are lots of different weapons and potential builds. I'm excited to see where the Devs go with it! Do recommend !

It is a fun over the top wuxia style melee focused BR game. There are, as of writing this review, 13 heroes who have 3 versions of a primary ability and 3 version of an ultimate ability. In solos there may be some that are stronger than others but duos/trios allows for a lot of flexibility and wombos. The weapons have neat and varied movesets and the combat feels rewarding once you start to get the hang of it. Movement is pretty quick with the grappling hook once you learn the techniques.

While the cosmetics are expensive, you can get a decent amount without microtransactions over time. Each hero can be character customized with a pretty decent character creator. You can go as far as to make some unholy abominations of characters if that is what you are into.

When you start you will be playing with some bots as it adjusts to your skill level. I thought it was a bit weird at first but after a few matches you'll start getting placed with players. Matches seem to be mostly around 50 players for me. There are a few different game modes to play in as well.

Over all I've been surprised with how much I've enjoyed the game. When you pull of a cool play with the movement system or the counter attacks it is incredibly satisfying.

A fun game with a variety of playstyles depending on your loadout. The visuals aren't amazing but are entertaining. If you enjoy EDM you will probably appreciate the music. There isn't a huge selection of tracks but each has 3 difficulties and can be altered by your modifier selection. Some examples of the modifiers are: Melee only, dual wield, headshots only, no aim-assist, tougher enemies, bullet-hell mode, no obstacles, and shotgun.

Depending on your loadout it can be a pretty high energy game, requiring a fair amount of movement and lunges. I think this is nice because I prefer something that gets me moving. Yet I can still configure it to be more approachable for a new player too.

Overall I'd say it is definitely worth it if it goes on sale. It would be nice to see some more tracks though.

A great 3D platformer. I appreciate how quickly you get back into the action after messing up. The visuals are on point as well! I particularly love the feeling after I nail a tough encounter. As a big fan of Mirror's Edge, it is nice seeing some of its influence in this game. So far it has been a very enjoyable experience.

Cons: I have experienced a few performance issues, but I'm sure they will be patched sooner or later. If you are concerned about performance you may want to wait and/or research potential issues.

Early Access Review
Risk of Rain 2 is a fantastic transition that takes everything that was fun and charming in the first game and excellently replicates it in 3D. For an early access title it is surprisingly polished. After following the development of Risk of Rain, I believe Risk of Rain 2 will come out of early access being a very solid game.
