Not as bad as the people are saying it is. Played a quick match, had a little fun. It clearly needs more work but it isn't bad.

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is a better game than its reviews suggest. While it carries familiar modern MMO elements—like gacha systems, cosmetics, and time-gated content—it still delivers a fun, approachable experience that rewards patience and curiosity.

Gameplay and Content:
I took the time to explore nearly everything the game offers—main quests, side missions, dungeons, and lifestyle activities like mining and weaving. There’s plenty to do beyond just the main story, and the pacing encourages players to take their time rather than rush through.

Monetization and Gacha:
Yes, the game has gacha mechanics and a large cosmetic store. However, it’s far from required as some may say. Players receive free mounts and cosmetics early on, and anything behind a paywall is purely optional. Spending money might speed things up, but nothing is locked away from regular play. I cleared all day 1 content without even having to consider any purchase to help me along. The time-gated systems also make sense when considering the in-game auction economy—it helps stabilize prices and prevent early market inflation.

Combat and Automation:
Combat starts simple but becomes more engaging after level 15. The auto-battle and auto-walk systems are there, but they’re far from game-breaking. Auto-battle is fine for quick dailies but useless in real fights where awareness and positioning matter. Auto-walk mostly helps with fetch or talk-to quests—it’s a convenience, not a crutch.

Final Thoughts:
This isn’t trying to be Final Fantasy XIV or a hardcore MMO. It’s a stylish, anime-inspired game built for casual fun and steady progression. With time, it’ll likely grow into something richer. If you enjoy relaxed MMOs with room to explore and don’t mind optional monetization, Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is worth giving a fair chance. Don’t let the review bombs make that choice for you.

Early Access Review
Since it is a Alpha I cant complain about the game feeling unfinished, but the direction of the game feels so unclear at the moment. The overall introduction to the game doesn't feel to well and it feels like the player isn't, Seeing a UI update would be nice and a few tool tips here and their would be nice. I will continue to play the game and see how it evolves.
