The gameplay itself is fun, but this negative review is solely caused by the complete lack of saving mid-run. I crashed 40 minutes into a run, and lost all of that progress.

You are literally one of the OG dwarves, reclaiming the OG dwarven city.

Further, we are in the 4th Age, which has almost no lore outside of a few pages from Tolkien.

If you are just after a survival game, I'll admit that it's not the BEST survival game. However, the mechanics are unique, the lore runs deep, and the immersion is 10/10.

Tip: if you are playing alone, set the game difficulty to "Solo". Otherwise, the enemies will feel very tanky.

FoxHole is one of the few MMOs that makes use of the "Massive Multiplayer". This is not a solo game, every action you take will impact the war in at least a small way.

I enjoy not needing to run an entire empire. There are still resources to balance, choices to make, an army to build, and places to explore, but everything is directly relevant to the battles I fight.

I find it fun. The English translation sucks, but there's not much need to read in the first place.
