(ignore the steam playtime. I played it a lot during the playtests and on the blacksmith launcher)

Great game, but I do wish they'd just delete rogue and revamp it. At this point, fighters, barbs, and wizards are better rogues than rogues.

Maybe make it so rogues are invisible in complete darkness instead of having it be a button? Makes it so darkness has a use

I only played around 2 hours, but I stopped to refund it, so take what I say with a grain of salt

From the hub area to the more open and spread out arenas, I think they slowed the game down significantly as well as made it much easier. I'm disappointed because I absolutely adored the first game.

In the first game, the combat felt more like a dance, while in this one, it feels more like a checklist. Rather than dodging and weaving my way through enemy attacks, this one - due to the openness of the area - feels like I'm just killing a guy, walking over to the next guy, killing him, rinse and repeat.

Also, the new openness makes it easier to get lost, and the added hub area between missions slows down the pacing significantly.

For a series built upon fast movement and quick thinking, they slowed it down to a crawl in this game.

Amazing game and a very innovative concept, and loved every second of it, but there's one problem I feel like with the crimes you're supposed to be solving, and that's the lack of motives. Theoretically, if I were to break into a soon-to-be-killer's home, I want to be able to find evidence that they're about to murder someone.

Most of the murders feel like random guy 1 kills random guy 2. The two guys can vaguely know each other, but not always. I think a solution to this would be before the killer acts, there should be a day or two where you set up the story. Maybe the killer signs the victim up to an insurance, then on the victim's computer, there's emails about them arguing with the insurance company trying to get their name taken off.

The game touches on this concept occasionally like in the stalker cases. But even in that case, even if you explore the killer's house, there's hardly any examples of the killer obsessing over their victims.

A few other things I would like is more complex people (maybe some lie to protect the killer, maybe some people have false testimonies, maybe there's some form of conspiracy, etc), non-serial killers (one and done murders), and some more stuff to do with cash other than decorate your room.

This game's concept is great, and I love playing it, but I can't recommend it quite yet. Lots of potential! I'm very excited to see what this game is capable of in the future!
