As the world’s only Half-Life hater, I debated buying this game for a while. I’m not a Half-Life fan, and I’d heard this game was heavily inspired by it, so I was hesitant. But wow am I glad I gave it a shot. This is, hands down, the best value-for-money game I’ve ever purchased. Honestly, I’d happily pay $50–60 for it. It kept surprising me at every turn. For just $25, I kept thinking, “Oh, this must be the final area—the game’s almost over.” But no It kept going, and every new area was bigger and better than the last. What’s impressive is that it doesn’t just go for the cheap "open-world" approach, where you unlock a large but empty map. Instead, every new section feels meaningful, with fresh unlocks, new enemies, and entirely different environments. One of few genuine 10/10's for me.
