Amazing game. I have played many RPGS in the past, and this one is my favorite. The story is somewhat linear, but there are so many fun side quests to do and things to see! Also, the character development is interesting and entertaining. Every character has a unique personality, and their interactions with the world and each other feel well-developed. I like all the mini-games at the Golden Saucer as well. The game is good at hooking you with the plot and mystery of the world, but the characters are what give the story such a strong backbone.

Leveling up and fighting doesn't feel like level grinding, because you can travel to so many different places. Also, the materia system is fun to use and keeps fights interesting. Can't wait for the HD remake!
