They took their large scale maps and trimmed down them without breaking down the entirety of the Battlefield experience. This leads to at times completely chaotic and action packed game play. Even with that it still does not feel like a Call of Duty game to me but then again I haven't touch CoD since Blacks Ops 2.

Pretty fun game. Reminds me of deadspace but harder. The game really forces you to explore everything because you literally need it to make it past the boss battles or enemies in general. Inventory slots are very slim and the game kind of forces you to spend your first upgrades to expanding that. The game does suffer from some optimization issues in certain parts of the game especially when multiple enemies are after you.

Overall, I would give it like a 7.5/10

Very good remake to the point where I really don't see any reasoning on going back to the original title ever again. Modern 3rd person view is stupidly easy though even on extreme difficulty. Luckily you get the option to play it like the original which is cool.

I run on a 7800x3d paired with a 4090. I turn motion blur and dof off for personal preference running on dlss quality at 4k and I get a solid 60 fps no dips or anything. Seems like this title along the many others that have came out have cheaped their way out of being able to run games on native especially native 4k and heavily depend on upscalers. I do hope they unlock the 60 fps cap.

If you are a fan of the series and want the best of this title to me its a no brainer. I really don't see anyone going back to the original.

Eats 18GB of vram on rtx 4090. Avg 70 fps with it going down to 50 fps when there is a lot of things happening. Ultra settings with dlss on quality.

Optimization is just piss poor.

A true gem and a must for anyone who is in the horror genre. The atmosphere and graphics in this game are insane. I have played quite a few bloober team titles like layers of fear but this is on another level.

As of time writing this review running 7800x3d with a 4090. With motion blur off, dlss on quality, and everything maxed out I get around 70-80 fps with some stuttering here and there that brings me down to 55 fps. This will obviously get better over the next week. I think it is pointing out that you will need a pretty beefed up GPU to run this game.

Just buy it. Worth it!

EDIT: Game runs very well now from patches

I got this game for free from a processor I bought last year. I have played many of the Fallouts, Oblivion, Skyrim, you name it.

Played about 18 hours on launch and stopped. I wanted to wait until things got fixed and waited a year. Lots of hype, not what they made it out to be.

Waited a year and came back and its much much more polished and less glitchy excluding those sneaking missions. This is NOT a F or D+ game not even by a long shot but its definetely no A or A- either. It's really just a decent game. A Fallout 4 in space but actually better than Fallout 4 as that game was so dumbed down. The game looks great some areas but outside areas I would say DECENT for a 2023 title.

If you are a Fallout fan and wants a space skin on top of it I don't see how a fallout fan could not like this game at least comparing it to Fallout 4.

I give it a 7/10
