It's kind of hard for me to decide how to rate this game. I give it a reluctant positive review, mostly just because it's really interesting to see how this game made the foundation for a wonderful game series. The game itself definitely has some classic charm to it, but I wouldn't really describe it as fun. The game is built around the conventions of a realistic tabletop role-playing game, because that's what it's trying to emulate. Some things just don't translate to a fun experience on a computer, but they still contribute to the game.

I got all the way to the last story mission and realized that the only option I had to complete it was the head-on combat option; I hadn't finished enough side quests to unlock other routes. Since my character throughout this 25-hour run was charisma based, I simply couldn’t win the fights. I read a guide and saw that I had missed several side-quests that would unlock other routes in the final quest, and to finish the game I would need to go back and play these quests. I decided to watch someone else play the last chapter instead.

Play the game some to get to know the original game in the fallout series, but unless you are genuinely enjoying the gameplay, I would just read a summary of the story once you feel like you've experienced the gameplay enough.

This is a great game for some 2D style space truckin. Buy a ship, fill it with goods, sell it, buy a ship, fill it with men, steal a ship, join the navy, discover some aliens, take over a space station, buy a bigger ship, and finally pay off your mortgage.

It was really hard to get into this game. The mechanics were explained through a series of online lectures to watch, and then the pace of the game play was so very fast that it was just a blind run and gun until the trip was over. Nothing really felt balanced, the tone was difficult to read, and the gunplay got stale pretty fast. Nothing at all like L4D2 in any way that matters.

Early Access Review
One hell of a game for such a small dev team. Its my number one "mindless shooter" game, and I have a great time sitting back and casually playing. All the classes have their niche, and there's a play style for everyone. I'm very excited to keep playing as the game develops. There's massive amounts of customization and variability, get out there and explore!

My only real complaint is that there isn't much of a tutorial for all the game mechanics, and you just have to learn by slugging though a few matches as cannon fodder. If you play with friends, this part goes by much faster.

Most of the negative reviews are expecting AAA polish out of an indie studio, or they wish they were playing a different game (and hate this one because it isn't the game they're trying to play).

This is an absolutely beautiful tale of love, farming, exploration, and slimy wiggles. Highly recommend

A very fun and relaxing farming simulator. I'd recommend it if you like causal games to sink some time into.

It's a good game, but I never have finished it. It feel like I've played enough after about 150 hours into a play through, forget where the main story is, and uninstall it for a few months until I come back.

It seemed great at first, confusing intro to the story, lack of definite direction and spooky atmosphere, which is great for a horror game with a puzzle story. But then I realized that there was no story at all that I could find. I litteralty found nothing to explain or even hint at anything else. I spent every day walking circles in the Dry Meadow, only finding locked doors and unbreakable barricades. Nights are really slow and repetitive and largely empty if your sound is off. At least from what I saw, no new mechanics are added past the 3rd hour. I eventually looked up a guide for the story, still didn't really engage with it, and gave up. It had a lot of potential, but the paseing was so slow that I couldn't really stay interested.

This is one of the best games I've played in a while. The concept is simple, go in, shoot things, grab stuff, leave. But wow it's honestly great. There's so much room for character customization and different play styles as most of the upgrades are exclusive to one another. It's great alone and with friends. I fully recommend this game.
