Basically an humorous take on RTCW / Wolfenstein 3D
For something you get for free it's easily better than some paid for games out there, especially impressive as it's pretty much just a solo project.
Graphically this has been much improved from the demo where everything would look much more plastic and overexposed, but I get the style isn't gonna be for everyone, the one small downside is tyhat for what it looks like this is remarkably hard to run (if you want 120+ stable you're gonna be throwing a top of the line computer at it)
Audio wise everything is excellent, guns feel powerful, voice lines don't get too grating and the music is fitting (though a bit too loud by default).
The arsenal is pretty good and you will make use of most of it, though imo the flamethrower is kind of underwhelming as is the minigun.
The humor is probably a bit hit & miss, but it is contained enough that you can enjoy the rest of the game even if you happen to really dislike it.

So yeah for the great price of free this is a must play if you like retro styled shooter, don't forget to buy the OST if you feel like you should pay for the game.

This game takes everything neat about the first game and replaces it with either bad stealth or far too easy firefights, they messed up the survival horror to CoD ratio compared to the first game so it ends up being a mostly meh action game with optional bad stealth, it gets a bit better at points but not enough to redeem the game

Now the DLC stuff is where you get the good stuff, you have survival horror mostly chapters, action mostly chapters that beat everything the main game has to offer and even a semi open world level to scavenge around in which is pretty neat (and sadly better than anything Exodus has to offer but that's another review), but the problem here is all that is short so I can't say it redeems the main game.

Since getting the original isn't easy anymore (legally) I have to reccomend it anyways since getting a worse version of the original is still better than not getting anything at all.

So why is it worse, because truth be told it does look (mostly) and run better.
Well the stealth has been kneecapped (enemies dumber sections have been cut in half to make it easier, and very cheesy new shortcuts), the balance is off in every difficulty mode and they shoehorned elements from Last Light.

Otherwise yeah this is still half survival horror russian CoD and it is absolutely worth playing once.

Basically Beachhead with fanservice, does a decent job trying to make the game it copies a bit more dynamic on the gameplay side so honestly would play even without the big anime tiddies, though nice cherry on top.

Early Access Review
I can't believe it's not DOOM 3
Hoping it'll get the polish it deserve along the way to the full release.

It's japanese horror meets CoD with some humor, pretty short, pretty jank but pretty fun, the cutscenes are a bit long is pretty much the only issue I have with the game.

For now this is basically in an early access state, without it being released as early access, I'll revisit once the game is a bit more polished which I'm pretty sure the dev will do as was the case with his previous game, a bit of a shame since the first game ended up being quite nice despite being rather simple.

This is both a disapointing and great game at the same time.

It is disapointing in that it isn't up to par when compared against other Ladybug games, it's shorter and easier and I feel like it just doesn't do as well with its gimmick when compared to other ladybug titles.

It is great in that it is still a Ladybug game, and like the others it's quick to pick upand fun to play, looks gorgeous and sounds really good as well as running on a potato.

The one thing I found real interesting here is the choice to give the player the most insane QoL feature in any metroidvania, teleportation, but not the usual "teleport from warp point to warp point" or even the rarer "teleport from anywhere to the nearest warp point then from warp point to warp points" but an actual free pass to teleport from anwyhere to anywhere,n it's technically even required for some things, it sort of does feel like it trivializes things but honstely it cuts down on not very fun backtracking more than anything.

Another thing I kind of dislike is just how overpowered qome dropped weapons are, they're not just sort of better for a while but outright better for a big part of the game.

Would stiull recommend but not until you've played the other Ladybug games (including their pre-Ladybug project Pharaoh Rebirth which I still consider to be the best gam they've made)

Surprisingly they did make this remake much less of a trainwreck than the original on the technical side, though it does still share the very elevated requirements of the other "Enhanced Edition", you can at-least call that version mostly stable (it still will crash regularly and I did have a corrupted save at some point as well but that's heaven compared to playing vanilla).

Not really enough to reccommend playing it over the modded original still (especially with the fact that some mod add stuff to make the very uninteresting base game slightly less so), but here I can see a bit more of an effort than ShoC EE.

I really don't wanna hate this game because it's really good but the difficulty here is just unbearable, I've had a more fun time beating dev times in Crash 3, I've had more fun perfecting all my platinums in N sane trilogy and in both of those case that was hours and hours of resettings a single level until it went just right, Psoilosybil asks you that kind of rigor, just for a regular level completion, nevermind all collectible and relics

I'm still gonna recommend it because it's well made, and I had fun but objectively the difficulty level here is way too much for 99% of people.
