First of all I have to admit that I don't really like BBTag especially since I've been playing from Calamity Trigger and experienced how BB evolved for the last 10 years. The idea of merging 3(4?) different franchise in a single game blows my mind when it was revealed at EVO 2017 and definitely hyped me up, atleast until i realized that the game will only be playable on "Stylish" mode which as you all know a lot of moveset as well as the unique mechanic has been removed from their respective franchise (Drive, GRD/EXS system, etc.).

With that being said the game is surprisingly balanced enough especially when you have cast from UNI which is (in)famous for it's full screen neutral phase, moving on to the combo execution level which obviously lacking the depth that you can basically play well just by mashing buttons and let the smart combo do the job and at the very least know the fundamentals which i personally don't like because i can't get that sense of achievement just by pressing A and B all day and it's not even entertaining unless you start using those Active Switch Shanenigans, last thing i want to point out is how they just make every single character uses the same motion for Distortion (what is this? D**geki B**ko?) and let's not talk about Grab Super without 720, A+D for DP, 222 B+C universal astral, etc.

Is this game better than CF? I don't think so, at the end of the day BBTag is an entirely new game and not every BB,UNI,P4A players that have been playing for years are gonna like the way the game is designed, nonetheless BBTag is a fun game to play with friends (as a meme game) and hopefully a new proper BlazBlue game will be released in the near future.
