I want to start off my review by saying that I've barely scratched the surface of this game, I have not even 'finished' the game (in the sense of getting to room 46 and getting credits rolling), I've gotten really close but been a little bit unlucky.

TLDR: This game might not be for everyone, If you like games with a mix of puzzles (on both small and big scales), rougelikes and deckbuilding then it might be for you. This game encourages you to keep notes, to write stuff down, I might have gotten overkill personally but I have so many pages of notes that I've taken for the game, and it makes it so much more engaging.

Now, to some more details:

I have however gotten to a point where I've seen what's beyond that. To the point where gotten up a hill and realized that it's only the beginning/tutorial.

Playing through the game before getting to that realization point I was a bit confused about the people talking about the "mystery" of the game, and people comparing it to Outer Wilds in certain ways, since to me it didn't seem THAT good.

While I wouldn't jump the gun and compare it fully to Outer Wilds in that way, there for are certainly elements that are pretty similar, in the idea of a "grand mystery" and everything being connected in some form.

There are also a good chunk of negative reviews of the game that I feel like didn't really understand what game they were going into, saying puzzles are 'too in your face' and easy there are certain rooms you get to that has puzzles, these puzzles aren't anything big or complicated but they evolve over time, the more you complete them the more complex and difficult they become.

And then there's the bigger picture, the puzzles that you slowly but surely piece together over the span of several in game days. There's a lot to these bigger picture things that I have scratched my head over and felt like that one scene of Charlie in It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia with the conspiracy board. And there's a lot that I have yet discovered, but this is a game that I'm completely fine with sinking many hours into.

I love Moomin and I love Snufkin, this game has amazing art style, relaxing music and stays true to its source, also nice to see and play games developed by a studio from your own country (Norway).

The only thing "negative" I have to say about the game is that it was a bit short, I would've hoped that it was longer, I finished it in around 3 hours, keep in mind that this was me trying to be a completionist, there are a couple of things I missed. The time was well spent and I don't necessarily hold it against the game, however I think thats something people should be aware of when buying the game.

I also wish we'd be able to free roam after finishing the main story/game, just walk around and chill, finish up sidequests if you still haven't completed them all and find whatever you've missed. When finishing the game and pressing "continue" on the main menu it puts you back right before activating the last cutscene and ending the game, without the possibility to return to the normal free roam part.

Hopefully there would be a possibility for the developers to add an epilogue update of some kind that allows this.

All in all great game, I really hope the game wins an award for its art style as it 100% deserves it.

I'm loving the game. Thankfully I have not had any performance issues, and I hope it gets fixed for the people that do.
I've heard that either turning down or just outright turning off Motion Blur and Depth If Field helps.

The game is vast and has alot to explore. I keep finding something new every time I return to an area I thought I had fully explored. This is the first souls-game I've for real played (I have tried playing some Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne and Sekiro without getting that far into the games).

I definetely reccomend the game. But it might be smart to wait until the performance issues people experience is fixed

I don't understand why this game hasn't been given an award for the greatest game of all time, seriously.
Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, you should all take notes. Can't wait for the third game

This game is a really fun game to play with friends. Theres alot of grinding with building our small town that we always seem to be trying to do but it's an enjoyable grind. I haven't played that much solo to say if it's as enjoyable alone, but if you have friends to play it alongside with, I certainly reccomend this game

I recently found out that I should start writing reviews more often. So here I am
I don't need to talk about what you do in this game, because everyone else does that.
I don't have alot of hours in this game, which I should change.
Simply because the little time I have played this game, it helped me relax and chill through stressful times.
If you find yourself stressed out, bored, or just want a good chill game to play, this game is for you. Just sink yourself into the relaxing sounds, the nice and comfortable characters (I don't know if that makes sense). It creates a feeling of home when you play it.
This game is a masterpiece and in light of everything I've seen the developers add and do with this game I think they deserved developers of the year and voted for them.
I get that not every game is for everyone, but I'm positive that 99% of people would not be dissapointed in spending money on this game

I have barely gotten to play this game and it's amazing. This is truly what an RPG is supposed to be like. Character creation, loveable companions, good story and fun gameplay. I'd expect that when i created my character it would just be some lame "oh it's that guy, he's just some dude who is op as ♥♥♥♥, we don't care to call him by his actual name though" and so far i feel integrated in the story, not just a dude who is there. To top it all off you can play it all with friends. Sadly i don't have friends to play this co-op with :( but it's an awesome thought. Looking forward to be getting 1000 hours gametime on this game, haven't had alot of time because of school and moving. Definetely worth a buy. Especially if on sale
