The Outlast Trials has somehow gotten worse instead of better. The game doesn’t feel scarier anymore, just more annoying. There’s an enemy everywhere now. Every corner, every hallway, every objective has someone camping it. Not in a smart or dynamic way either, just standing there to slow you down.

The worst part is that it’s not even hard. It’s easy to deal with them, which makes it boring. You already know what to do: hide, wait, throw something, sneak past. Do it again. And again. And again. Once you’ve seen the pattern, the tension is gone and the game turns into busywork.

Instead of feeling hunted, you feel stalled. Progress constantly gets interrupted because the game forces you to stop and babysit enemy AI. It kills the pacing completely. More enemies doesn’t make the game scarier when their behavior is predictable and exploitable. It just drags everything out.

Nothing else evolved to justify this change. No deeper stealth mechanics, no smarter AI, no new ways to engage with the game. Just more enemies clogging the map and padding the runtime. It feels like artificial difficulty, not thoughtful design.

At this point, the game is more frustrating than fun. The atmosphere is still there, but it’s buried under repetitive, boring gameplay. What used to feel tense now just feels like a chore.

This game is like wtf? I got it on sale but I wouldnt play this ♥♥♥♥ even if they payed me. BS game BS Company. I am writing this right after I fell down through the ground. Thats all I have to say. Thank you for reading. 11/10
