DS3 is great, if not a bit obtuse in hindsight, but wears its best aspects (grand boss fights, niche secrets, and memorable NPC encounters) shamelessly on its sleeve.

The DLCs (despite some fumbles ala champion gravetender) elevate the base game from an 8/10 to a 9/10 with most of the sorely needed improvements being demonstrated in FromSoft's later titles (I.e. clearer/fluid level design, more sophisticated combat, a more fulfilling ember/humanity system, questlines, and ways to re-fight bosses without NG+). Although most of these tradeoffs were designed with the intention of increasing DS3's replayability thus making them permissible if not tolerable.

A beautiful and incredibly unique game. The other reviews are correct: don't spoil this game for yourself and play it blind. It's short but well worth your time.

A really great puzzle game and an incredibly unique experience. The mechanics stacking and thinking through every aspect of your currently available resources reminds me of Portal 2.

The puzzles are all well-designed and the game balances introducing mechanics with the overall pacing of the game/complexity really well. Anyone who loves puzzle games would have a great time with Cocoon.

The game is set to 45 fps by default on steam deck and turning that to 60/90 reveals the game has fps dips (50-70 fps on Steam Deck OLED), but nothing that would make the game unplayable.

Good survivors-like with a lot of achievements for completionists. Lots of content and a good emphasis on the gameplay loop over adding additional or otherwise unnecessary features. The meta-upgrades take a while to accumulate towards the endgame, but they wind up complementing the game instead of detracting from it.

No performance issues and the runs feel like just the right length (25-30ish minutes) and make it easy to string multiple together casually. The daily runs and alternative gamemodes provide additional content if you've already acquired all the upgrades and help extend the longevity of the game.

Early Access Review
This game had a fair bit of potential but it's not being updated and as it stands doesn't do anything to be noteworthy. It runs fine and is about as fun as any other game in the genre, but it being permanently early access with no future (since the dev seems to be working on a NSFW version of the same game) means you'd be better off getting one of the other vampire survivors-likes/clones with your money.

Just buy megabonk instead.

Peggle is and always will be a banger. If your favorite character isn't Jimmy Lightning the skateboard-riding gopher you're objectively wrong.

Still playing through this, but I love Alan Watts and having his calming voice to listen to while you amass a flock of animals, houses, vehicles, landmasses or what have you is a great experience. If you are looking for a relaxing philosophical stroll through the park with a gentle guide and narrator this is a great game I thoroughly recommend. I do almost feel the progression relative to gaining new abilities and features might be a tad slow, but I fully understand that's intentional and part of the game's flow/design.

The game lags (10-20 fps) on the galaxy/universe stage on steam deck but I'm not sure if that's an issue with the steam deck, Linux, or something on the game's end and it's still technically playable.

Edit: My Steam Deck was defaulting to 4K for the game due to steam settings I had on and the game actually runs well on the galaxy stage at 1280x720. The game achieves consistent 90 fps on every stage on ~native resolution for Steam Deck. If you're experiencing frame dips on Steam Deck double check your resolution.

Everything/10.

Pretty good time-killer game. Just the right amount of engagement/thought required.

Good survivors-like but once you get to endless mode the game's performance really suffers.

It also could use something more than the "can't move and shoot at the same time" gimmick to keep it fresh (more characters, new/different game modes, or even more enemy and projectile variety, etc.), but it's still got a solid core gameplay loop.
