Diablo whishes it was this good. Awesome mechanics and base building. Bosses are fun and engaging, not always your standard 'rinse and repeat', although some tend to be a little more annoying to deal with. Definately get the full game with all dlc's if you are playing solo, it will make your castle look so much cooler with all the cosmetics it adds.

Fantastic space exploration, coupled with a plethora of ships to choose from makes for hours of fun. I got the game back when it launched, and to see how much effort the devs have put in to deliver on what they originally promised, as well as all the new content that keeps on coming makes this game a great investment of your time.

More and more content just keeps making this game amazing

pros:

Dino taming, fun maps, awesome tek items, good crafting system, mods.

cons: game is very buggy and crashes at times, especially on Extinction. Vanilla taming system needs overhaul and more herbivores would be nice

A great game to play with friends.

This game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring as hell. mostly dialogue, little interaction. Truly a step down, no a plunge down, from the first one.

Okay, to start off with i played the PoTC rebranded Sea Dogs back in the day, and i loved it. This game... I am kind of in a love-hate relationship with at the moment.

I loved the PoTC game because you could cheat the money lender from the start to get enough gold to buy a Battleship off the bat, combat was sooo much easier and don't even get me started on boarding missions. Maybe i am just being nostalgic and biased, but this game with all of its penalties you get from commandeering to high level ships, to the near impossible combat situations just takes the fun out of being a free roaming soul, earning your living any way you choose.

on the plus side, the trading missions are fun, and i do enjoy the variety of ships so far( those that i can actually commandeer without suffering huge penalties), also the huge variety of goods to trade.

i am hoping the PoTC game will eventually make its way onto steam, but for now this game will have to to.
