I've played nothing but the forge beta and it is very promising. Scaling tools, large canvases, forge controls options and more along with all the regular good stuff like duplicating, magnets, welding, etc. Still needs more props and premade assets but I'm sure those will come in time.. Try it out and report your bugs so we can have even more beautiful works of incredible imagination! I know nothing about the campaign and arena gameplay. All that matters to me is that we get a good forge system with the only limit being your graphics card and your imagination

This game is so fun! I've been playing basically since its alpha. It was great then, even greater now. So many interesting creatures, wrecks, and straight up incredible places to explore. So many tools and equipment to craft to make you a more adapted explorer. If you're looking for awesome ambiance, mystery and just anything cool on an ocean planet, this the game for it.

So I only have a few minutes on this game as you can see ;) and I still can't describe how much I love this game, but I may as well try:
The mechanics are so fluid and the look is so polished. The customization, both visual and mechanical, is so in-depth and bountiful with content; there's always something to do. There is no correct(TM) way to play the game. Sure there's a meta for killing enemies fastest but it doesn't mean you have to play that way. Just do what you enjoy and strive towards what you want; Pretty soon you'll find yourself swimming in content and the freedom to do whatever you like however you like. Parkour off everything, soar through the sky raining terror upon your enemies, ride rocket skateboards, pilot spaceships through stellar battles and take down the greatest threats to the solar system!
The lore the devs have written is so deep, involved and impressively bold. There's a whole new universe waiting for discovery!
(That being said, it can go in some interesting directions, for example the newer large additions, Duviri Paradox, is... an odd choice, to say the least. Doesn't make a ton of sense to include in a game like this, but a number of players apparently enjoy the gameplay loop in Duviri Paradox that is also be the core of other popular game titles)
And the community is one of if not THE LEAST toxic game communities you will ever find; Veterans basically adopt newbies as their own, offering help and support whenever they ask or need. It's so fun to join a random match and meet all kinds of different people having fun through the same outlet.
Fear not that it's free; it's not pay to win if you don't want it to be. Just be ready for the most exciting grind of the rest of your life!
