3 hours in and this is *easily* one of my favorite all-time games.

The story is just amazing and keeps me riveted, the gameplay is tight (albeit quite difficult in some parts, which is a bonus imo), and the GRAPHICS are absolutely GORGEOUS.

Throw in a bonus for the developers refusing to cater to Sweet Baby Inc. and co. and you have a very serious contender for game of the year.

Game Science is definitely on my radar as far as getting excited about future development is concerned. Absolutely cannot wait to see what they might do with some DLC, and *cannot wait to play again tonight!!!!*.

Nice to see 3DMark has joined the list of absolute arsehole companies that don't mind blatantly ripping people off in order to make a few extra dollars.

Don't buy this, nearly 6 bucks canadian to watch 1 minute of some robots running around - and nothing more.

Given the way previous benchmarks from this company has been, I really thought there would be more here - silly me I didn't realize I could check the DLC reviews directly until after I had already realized it was a scam.

I've been buying and using 3DMark and other 'Mark' products for at least a decade, but that's changed now. Screw UL Solutions, you guys are bastards straight up.

Gimme my money back you heathens.

CDPR have redeemed themselves and then some. This game is absolutely fng amazing, give them your money.

Absolutely baffled by how many positive reviews this game is getting on Steam, when nearly everywhere else it is being justifiably downvoted into oblivion.

first time I played on 1.0? People walking through walls, floating NPC's, duplicate NPC's side-by-side, missing physics, lack of even rudimentary AI, police spawning out of nowhere, lips not moving, dead enemies talking, NPC's walking into each-other and then having confused little 'traffic jams'; and the list goes on.

Fast-forward a couple months to see how well they have patched it up so-far and log in last night to 1.11? People walking through walls, floating NPC's, duplicate NPC's side-by-side, missing physics, lack of even rudimentary AI, police spawning out of nowhere, lips not moving, dead enemies talking, NPC's walking into each-other and then having confused little 'traffic jams'; and the list goes on.

Edit: Playing on 1.2 now, and the developers have managed to fix a lot of the bugs; though plenty still remain (and you still get multiple of the same NPC side by side XD). The game itself is still objectively bad...
Steam won't refund me... Here's hoping the company sticks by their word and fixes this game.

The best part is CDPR keeps lying on social media trying to make it look like the only issues are with last-gen consoles, and a few bugs here and there.

This game is absolutely broken and an absolute mess, if you want my advice. DO NOT BUY.

Absolutely cannot get enough of this game. I apologise for the very basic review, but there isn't much for me to say other than I love it!!

First, a little congratulations to MadMind Studios. Taking a note from HG and the original NMS debacle, MadMind took what was once a steaming little turdpile and polished it until it looks, and even smells (don't ask me how), very, very good.

Agony UNRATED is by far the most twisted and depraved filth-pile of a game I have seen to date, and I absolutely love it for that. This is 100% the game the developers originally intended, and it isn't for the faint of heart (and definitely NOT FOR CHILDREN). Twisted and dark locales, sexy succubus porn, terrifying demons, an interesting storyline, squashed babies and penis's and vagina's galore... It isn't often that I find something spring up from the realms of the imagination that is capable of making me want to avert my eyes, but this game comes *really* close (I am the only one in my Family that can stomach it without much issue) and it stands as a giant middle finger to censorship in gaming the world over.

That isn't to say the game isn't without its issues, however. There are some annoying bugs, and gameplay can be kind of slow at times (though never really boring as there is always something cool to look at), as well as a few bad animations and character models, but all in all MadMind did an amazing job of listening to fans and fixing things up where they needed to.

I can only hope that there is an Agony 2 UNRATED in the works and that it aspires to push the boundaries even more than the first one.

In it's current incarnation I can't recommend this at all. I jumped in excitedly yesterday to start making my first weapons mod, only to find out that the stat restriction for the weapons is so low, it makes them useless for higher level characters. So unless you are lower-level, the only purpose to the weapon modding is so you can "look at the cool weapon mod you made" and nothing more.

I can understand this for the online aspect, but this limitation exists for solo mode as well. Come on Squenix, let US decide how powerful we want our weapons to be. If we want to make the game "unbalanced" in your eyes, that should be something we get to decide.

Also, the instructions for the tool are extremely vague. I managed to figure them out, but I have some experience with these things, I don't think a newcomer would necessarily fare too well.

Punishingly beautiful and punishingly difficult. This game has lived up to all of my expectations and then some.

As an older gamer, I have fond memories of the kind of games where if you make one little mistake, you die, and Cuphead is just a tad harder than that.

Or perhaps I'm just not that good at video games anymore, thanks to being wussified through all the hand-holding of the latest titles.

Anyhow, I couldn't say enough good about this game. It's rare that I can find interest in a 2D game these days, and rarer still that I would ever consider a game as being 'perfect', but Cuphead is, in my honest opinion, just that.

Amazing job devs!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with next! :)

Took a bit of work to get it working properly (changing to borderless window, changing to max refresh in settings, disable Gsync), and there are still some small issues with performance (the odd stutter here and there, and it takes so long to load initially I always think it's stuck in some loop), *BUT* no matter how many little problems there might still be, I absolutely CAN NOT put this game down! I love it!

For those of you who say the game isn't varied... you need to stick with it. Don't forget you are in an entirely procedurally-generated Universe, so there are bound to be those of you who get stuck in a system that is nothing but boring rock-planets, or the same thing over and over.

Eventually you WILL find the good stuff, and when it is good, it is great!

I can't help but hope there might be an update in the future that will add a little more variety to the bases, and having some humanoid aliens actually walking around (as opposed to having 1 or 2 per base, and you have to talk to the rest in their ships) but other than that this by far one of the most intriguing and fun games I have ever played.

Money well spent (but if I didn't have the patience to work past the issues I had initially with loading and performance, I would have said something entirely different).

Hey guys, absolutely great port in most respects, but please PLEASE add in the option to play at resolutions above 1080p.
I realize that most people are still playing at 1080p or less, but there are many of us who own 1440p or higher monitors, and it is a real shame to be locked at a lower resolution.

Had I known that this game would be capped at 1080p, I wouldn't have purchased it. I traded in my 47" 1080p Toshiba TV for a 1440p monitor last year, and the game looks way to stretched out on it. It is quite disappointing.

Thank You for listening to my concerns.

:)
