After all the years of hype, this game was everything I wanted it to be!
I know folks complain about the difficulty a lot, but I honestly enjoyed changing up my strategies and trying new tactics to overcome challenges. It's VERY different from hollow knight, and I think this is a good thing!!
The art, the music, the writing, the gameplay... it's all sublime. I can't recommend it enough!

Despite being early access and still getting lots of changes, this is already an incredibly fun game. I really enjoyed making different character builds and playing with friends!

I friggen loved every moment of this game and played through the entire thing in a single 10 hour sitting. I was astonished by the variety in areas and enemies, and I highly recommend this game to anyone even remotely interested in this quirky little shooter!

A unique roguelike with a very interesting combat mechanic! The concept stays pretty fresh throughout the game, and it is satisfying to get good at the mechanic.
Unfortunately, the upgrade slots you receive are very limited, and I didn't see a lot of synergy between them, so the runs might get stale pretty quickly if you don't try out new ball types.
There is also no story whatsoever, so it's all purely about the gameplay. Keep that in mind if you wanna try this game out!

Wonderful and beautiful visual novel with great art and writing. I streamed it in a chat with some friends, and the story was so enrapturing it did not take long before they dropped what they were doing to watch it all enfold. Absolutely incredible experience, and I highly recommend it! :3

I hate fishing in most video games, but this is such a genuinely fun experience. This game can be both thrilling and relaxing, and I really enjoyed exploring the world! I'd definitely recommend anyone to try it!

Alright, this game is AMAZING. I had never really heard of it before I played, but I can now wholeheartedly recommend it, even at full price.

Note: I played this game on "Adventure" (hard) difficulty and used a controller instead of mouse and keyboard, so players on other difficulties and control schemes may have different experiences than my own.

Pros:
+Platforming and puzzles are well done with just the right amount of difficulty, with new abilities and mechanics unlocked over time to keep gameplay interesting
+Deep story where you can only fully understand the entire story by exploring fully (though it is certainly optional)
+Character is a cute little blob
+Very detailed pixel art environments and enemies
+A surprisingly grand soundtrack
+Some of the best boss battles I have ever seen in this genre
+Tight and consistent controls

Cons:
-Shear level of detail in environments can make it somewhat difficult to tell what is part of the foreground or background

Honestly, I just think it is a shame how criminally underrated this game is. If it sounds interesting to you, please give it a try! You will not regret it!
