if your expectations are that you'll be playing a more polished EU4 with some new mechanics, similar mechanics and such, then you'll be in for disappointment. It's not really anything like EU4, with systems being completely different, gameplay being quite slow compared to EU4. its an ok game but to have an EU title is a bit... eh

Personally, the gameplay is fun and the new animations and whatnot is fancy. Is it an upgrade from AoE 3? Definitely. I however almost expected more, feeling like it may even be a completely different game... which well, other than a bit of reskining and animations, didn't really feel like it. Maybe I outgrew the good old AoE games, but this one just isn't cutting it for me personally. In no way am I saying it's a bad game, though.

Great game, worth buying but DLCs just ruin it. You can still crack them and play with them online though, which is alright after all.
