I don't recommend this game unless you're keen on microtransactions.

I loved this game when it first came out, and having bought it on Steam, I thought it was safe to throw away my original CDs (of which I had 2 sets) so as not to fiddle with DOSBOX.

I should have never done that. Before even getting this "port" to run, there's all kinds of signing up and account creation happening, and that sort of idiocy sticks in my craw. I remember when you could just buy a game, take it home, and play it, without having to allow it to target market to you.

In short ... no, don't buy this. Stick to your old disks. Wrestle with them to get them working under whatever version of Windows to which you are enslaved today. It'll be better than having to deal with the Steam version.
