This game is a lot of great fun but is plagued by poor optimization at the moment. I have a higher end rig, but unfornately, even on the lowest settings, I can't run my monitor's 1440p resolution without it running at 30 to 50 fps so I have to drop it down to 1080p which keeps me at relatively 60fps. The movement in this game is awkward at the moment. People strafing, snap left and right instead of like an acceleration movement. The gameplay is great. Match after match I'm having a great time.

In summary it's a fun game but at the moment I'd only reccomend this to people who are patient enough for the development team to work on the game more, and who has a very decent rig.

This game is fantastic. a lot of the negative reviews on here are from people complaining about the servers being down to maintenence. There are so many things to do and so much to explore. the graphics are amazing. the matchmaking is quick and teaming up with people is great.

I don't know why everyone is complaining about graphics. I have a decent computer running on all high settings and it's running just fine. solid 60. no frame drops. im loving the gameplay but the story and dialouge is kind of terrible but it feels like upgraded just cause 2 which is what (truthfully) I wanted. I like finding more and more creative ways to blow ♥♥♥♥ up and it's a great game to keep me busy while I have nothing to do. why? just 'cause.

I've given this game so many chances. they called it 1.0. which means it's done and just needs to iron out a few minor bugs. There are so many bugs. CTD almost every 10 minutes. you can see outside the dirt. if you generate water on the world, once you dig down there is just water at a certain level. The only thing that makes me keep giving this game a chance is its potential. There is an awesome game some where in starforge, but codehatch just doesn't have it. I mean astheticly, when you go to sleep all that happens is a small text box in the corner says "Zzz" and the sun is up. the creatures dont move, there's no dimming to black. just poof day time. it's been in development for what 2 or 3 years now? Even with a small team, you could iron out even small things like that. If you go into first person mode while you're digging you can see below you a layer of water and a bunch of little caverns I think, idk it may be the resources. It takes like 3 hours to dig down deep enough to wear the dirt stops generating grass.

TLDR: This game isn't 1.0 it's in Beta at best. I'd hold off on buying this until CodeHatch finishes this.

filled with hackers. just filled with them. people with unlimited ammo, wallhacks, teleportation. just wait until it's done in 10 years and then try it out

horrible graphics, even for 2008, awkward controls, the autopilot spazzes out and drives in like 20 different directions, the voice acting is terrible, and the story line is horrible. not fun at all.

Great game. There are few game out there that are so simple but deep down inside there is a ton of structure. It's definitely a buy on the spot game. My only issue with it, is that once you've gotten all of the good gear, you feel no real need/want to start again.
