The reason I’m giving Tabletop Creator Pro a 2.5 out of 5 is fairly simple: I don’t see a strong reason to choose it over Card Creator.
Where this program shines is in card creation. It handles CSV imports really well, making it easy to populate large sets of cards efficiently. The design tools for cards are solid, and overall, it feels like this is where most of the development focus went.
However, the problems start when you try to use it for board creation.
The system uses the same mechanics for boards as it does for cards, which does not translate well. There is no intuitive way to create board spaces efficiently. Instead, you are forced to manually create one element and repeatedly duplicate it using the sidebar. This becomes frustrating quickly, especially since you cannot use standard keyboard shortcuts to speed up the process.
It gets worse when working with organization. There is no proper grouping system within layers. You cannot create and manage grouped elements in a flexible way, which makes moving or editing multiple components at once unnecessarily tedious. The only workaround is to keep everything on a single layer and label it carefully, but that is not a real solution, especially for users familiar with modern graphic design tools that offer much better organization.
Because of this, the program falls short for anyone looking to design full board games, not just cards.
I am giving it a 2.5 because the card tools are genuinely good, but that is also the problem. If you are mainly making cards, Card Creator already does that job just as well, if not better. For a "Pro" version, I expected stronger board-building functionality, and it simply is not there yet.
I hope the developers focus on improving the board design tools, because the foundation for card creation is already strong. Right now, though, it is hard to justify choosing this over the alternative

Edit: it gets a one again because this is now being charged for $50 and when I got it it was $200. And I truly feel I did not get $150 value worth from the program

I also forgot they have nearly every card size as a preset and they have just three sizes for a game board. This wouldn't be a big deal but you can't have your own custom preset. You have to change everything after you made your blueprint

The game is a good concept and although i see how you could replay it. I may not. After week one, the choices become mundane and tedious. So its hard for me to recommend it.
