It's pretty tough to recommend this game at the moment. This game has a solid foundation, and is already off to a better start than past Battlefield games, but EA is taking this game in such a strange (and really non-Battlefield feeling) direction. Here are some things that need to be addressed:

1. Map size or player count. These maps are way too small for 64 players. An easy fix to this would be to offer the same maps at 16v16 (32 players) or 24v24 (48) options. Why they haven't done this I have no idea. If I had to describe the current 64 player maps in 1 word it would be exhausting.
2. Server browser/Portal. The issue above could be fixed pretty easily if Portal mode wasn't such a mess. There's a few issues with Portal but I'll highlight the biggest ones.

• It's very difficult to navigate, and overall trying to find a good server just feels clunky
  
• The servers are not persistent. This is fundamental in establishing a community feeling for certain servers/game modes
  
• Filters don't save and you cannot favorite a server. If I find a server I like, I now have to search and find it again the next time (if it's even still up)
  
• Disabling progression on bot-backfill servers was a mistake. I do not care if a player is rank 100 from killing bots. I don't believe most players care about this either. I believe this was done because EA wanted to make sure the tasks/challenges that currently exist in the game are not done more easily in Portal experiences, which is a bad exscuse to disable progression.

There are other issues with this game, but I do genuinely believe if they can address some of the ones listed above it will go from like a 5 to an 8. This is low hanging fruit that I'm surprised they haven't implemented yet.

S4 is good, but please work on weapon balance

This is a game that is heavily focused on teamwork, coordination, and sticking close to your teammates.

The main problem that this game has currently is something called a nuke, where players will attach C4 to explosive barrels and throw it at teams. This can literally team-wipe a squad of 3 from full HP.

This mechanic goes completely counter to what I feel this game should be about: teamwork and close coordination with your squad. Until this is addressed I can't play this game and have a good time.
