A mediocre game, doomed to fail.

Overall it was a really interesting experience, I enjoyed the story and environment.
The puzzles were a bit easy, and at times the combat can be frustrating, but the combat has more depth than SH2 Remake.

Fantastic souls-like game, and gets even better with the DLC.

The game now runs much better, and I think it's worth picking up the game.

After the latest patch (June 30th) I have lows of 20 fps, where I used to get lows of 50 with a 9070 XT.
It's actually insane how much worse the game has gotten, even if the gameplay is fun as hell I can't recommend the game in it's current state.

EDIT: Currently on the TU4 Patch, the game runs slightly better, but only everso slightly.
I also take issue with how grainy the game looks at all times, even without FSR on, it seems like there is no AA at all.
It only seems to be better when you increase the render resolution to about 110-120, but again at the cost of massive performance. Almost as if the game never renders at the original resolution no matter what.

I would still wait for the last 2 planned performance updates before playing, but buying now might be fine because of the winter sale.

Continuous lapse of judgement has the developers in a choke hold, as they push out terrible patch after terrible patch, expecting people to like the garbage they put out.
Completely uninterested in listening to the community, in favor of pushing changes they cater to the extreme casuals and tourists of the fighting game genre.

I really like the game, however it's a bit expensive for the price at the moment.
I recommend buying it on a sale at a later time.
The game is a solid 7/10 (not an IGN 7/10, but a real one)

It's great for people who like exploring and finding secrets.
If you want to compare it to Skyrim you will be disappointing in the areas where it's not like Skyrim.
Treat the game like a new experience and you will have a lot of fun with it.

I had a lot of fun with the combat system, but I wish they provided more materials to rank up more items so that you could experiment with other weapons as much as you could with skills.
You can easily reset the skills, and character stats for a small amount of gold.

Last thing to mention is that there is no new game +, which means i probably wont replay it anytime soon.
I'll probably come back to it at some point while trying the polar opposite build and dialog choices.

Probably one of my favorite survival games of all time.
It does so many things right.

It has a lot of performance problems, and the story is quite predictable.
However, the combat is satisfying and the world is quite nicely made.
