Never played the alpha and I never write reviews but I felt this game could've been a lot better. This game is engaging and fun for the first 3 hours. I have watched lots of gameplay from the alpha and the progression system in that game seems great and really is infinite. However, this amazing and infinite progression system is gone and replaced with a tedious mess. Every time you complete a region (roughly 3-5 hours of gameplay) you have to leave to continue playing and all your gear is removed. Everything.The levels don't do anything. It is effectively a hard reset every 4 hours. The only thing you keep is an artifact which gives a negligible movement bonus. There is zero sense of progression and is incredibly boring after the first few hours. I recommend you watch some of the reviews on this game on Youtube before buying as they go into a lot more detail on other negative aspects of this game - the progression system in this game would be a deal breaker for me even if every other part of the game was perfect though.
