This is not the performance you are looking for

A masterpiece action survival horror. Another successful remake.

This is a re-imagining of Resident Evil 4 from 2005, a lot of people will agree that the 2005 game did not need a remake (myself included). Although after completing a playthrough, this is in my opinion, the best modern entry of the series since rebooting it in 2017. From the original, it retains and improves the gameplay by modernising the controls, giving it a darker and more realistic tone with the story. The main character Leon, feels like a genuine continuation from his experiences in RE2 remake. There are some scary moments, a lot more tense than the original, especially at the very beginning.

After the success of Resident Evil 2 remake, they released this a year later. Nothing can go wrong right?

This is a remake of the original Resident Evil 3 from 1999, compared to all the other modern RE games since 2017, this one felt quite lacking (You can finish the game in under 8 hours). Gameplay is the same as Resident Evil 2 Remake, it improves upon the mechanics such as adding a dodge movement. It also focuses on different characters, Jill Valentine from the first game, however I thought the writing was a bit off compared to RE2, she literally just swears every time there is a cutscene. I did not find this as scary apart from one section, bugs at the power station

Score - 6.5/10 - Get it when it's on sale, don't expect the same quality as RE2

A phenomenal survival horror. If you're looking to play the Resident Evil games, this one is a great starting place. In terms of story, it's quite well contained (you don't need to know what happens in Resident Evil 1).

This is of course a modernised remake of the original Resident Evil 2 from 1998, Capcom have outdone themselves since rebooting the series in 2017 with Resident Evil 7. Gameplay is fantastic, a modern 3rd person shooter with backtracking exploration and puzzles. It is also genuinely pretty scary a lot of the times.

Score - 9/10 - This is an S tier game, highly recommend

The Witcher 3 is "breathtaking", the story is engaging and the dialogue for the characters are beautifully written.

This is one of the most immersive RPGs I have ever played. I got so into the world that at one point I decided to focus on side quests (so so interesting) and exploration, eventually I got back to the main storyline.

Almost all aspects of this game is flawless, from the music to the story. However, the combat leaves a bit to be desired for. Gwent as a mini game, is fantastic.

You will not regret buying this, it's always on sale for around a fiver, gotta pick it up if you're into RPGs and story driven games.

Score - 9.5/10 - an absolute masterpiece, best fantasy story game to this day
