Snail Games must be on some hardcore drugs. Don't touch anything they are involved in, all they care about is making more money for their (alleged) drug habit.

What happened to the 40k strategy games? The last one I actually enjoyed was DoW2. The rest are mere shadows of other better games. And the monetisation is off the charts, with DLC that adds frak all, and that should have just been in the damn game TBH.

At least Owlcat is knocking out of the park on the RPG scene, and I hear Space Marine 2 is a banger....

Having pre-ordered the collectors edition, and even going to the midnight launch at our local EB Games, I was disappointed at 1st. With the bag fiasco, the lack of NPCs, and the game play itself just being, meh.
Then coming back to it in the last few months I have found that it has really grown into a great game.
I absolutely love the game now! The player base is 95% freaking awesome, with very few asshats. The game play is fun. The story is pretty good (and actually there). The events are fun, and the bugs hilarious.
BUT, it's limitations are completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! 1200lbs of storage and no way to upgrade it, unless you pay $23AUD month for Fallout 1st! And even then it's only unlimited junk and ammo! AND the 40,000 caps limit! And the teeny tiny base building limit, Etc, Etc.
Bethesda, I love your games, but locking things behind a paywall that are standard in every other game is the epitome of greedy BS!

2k hours played and enjoyed, all flushed down the toilet by greed and stupidity.

Who the ♥♥♥♥ releases a major update, which will always cause major problems, immediately before going on Holiday? January 14th before you can fix all the errors and bugs! Guess the 'service' part of game as a service is optional.

The only things seemingly not broken in the latest update is the Battle Pass and Bazaar, unless you got banned for Funcom ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up your Crom coins....this is what is wrong with the industry, too many rich ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wanting to squeeze more money out of their player base instead of making a good game.

Save your money for something better!

Yes, yes, yes, and all the yes!

It's like Minecraft and Rimworld had a baby in the Middle Ages, and I love it!

Every new update has me wanting more! Are there bugs? Duh, of course, it's Early Access. But the shiny awesomeness that is Going Medieval makes up for it in spades. Don't let those measly 78.8 hours fool you, I have a LOT more time in this game in offline mode, and I very much look forward to its finished state.

I have been in love with the Apache since Fire Birds starry Nicolas Cage....and while this aircraft is freaking beautiful to look at, it is HELL to fly.

Having flown helis, including the Apache, in every flight sim I could get my hands on since 1988 I do have well over 10000+ flying hours in them. So when I tell you this beast is the single hardest aircraft I have ever had to fly, by a freaking nautical mile, you can understand that it's not a lack of experience.

This is NOT what I expected from a $90AUD aircraft. That could have been spent on 1 or 2 entire games which I would have gotten 100s of hours of fun with, instead of 1.5 hours of torture just trying to hover....and it will be because I refunded this POS!

Unless you are a masochist STAY AWAY from this product.

Whoever wrote the 'Main Campaign' and the save system for this
'game' needs to be fired...from a cannon...into the sun!

Turns out, according to these morons, you should only be able to save during the missions, and not after them when you are safe at base! Meaning you either have to go through the whole bloody briefing for the next mission AND start it BEFORE you can save and quit, or you go back to your last save IN THE PREVIOUS MISSION!!!!

And 13 hours in I have still yet to have a win in the campaign....13 FREAKING HOURS of having our asses handed to us NON STOP! And it's not just the deadly accuracy of the enemy troops, who seem to have thermal vision and are possibly related to The Predator. The writers of this campaign need to take a note from the WCW and learn that when the baddies win ALL THE TIME, people get pissed and leave.

It's a real shame that this is our introduction to ARMA 3, because there are MANY awesome mods out there that make it so much better. I will be playing, and enjoying those very much, but I will not recommend a game based upon its modding scene.

Edit 3: 1.0 release = unfinished buggy mess.
Devs decide that you are not allowed to relax, or even drive a car, without loosing CON faster than you can gain it = WTF?
Devs then decide not to give us the option to turn it off because it's a core feature that adds realism = Frak off!
Back to a big NO from me!

Edit 2: Well I came back to check things out, and after finding a server I liked have really started enjoying the game again after my hissy fit in my previous edit. I still don't like the PTW feel of the Danny Trejo DLC, though i LOVE Danny Himself, and honestly probably would have bought it if it was just a skin.
The new improvements in 0.8 are excellent, especially the new modular vehicles and buildings, though caution is still advised for sea travel with the one boat still in the game being quite buggy.
I have also experienced excellent help from support, though they could use an in-game bug reporting system, and In the end I have changed my recommendation back to yes.

Edit: Oh gods I am so disappointed that this game just got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by a PAY TO WIN DLC. Oh yeah, for a mere $20 AUD you too can be Danny Trejo and be able to spawn with all his cool Machete gear, when everyone else has to start with ♥♥♥♥! ♥♥♥♥ YOU, AND ♥♥♥♥ YOUR MONEY GRABBING ARSES!!

Everything below here will stand as what this game USED TO BE for me. Maybe I will come back when we can create our own private servers at home, and not have to pay for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ things! Then I will not have to put up with whatever else Pay to Win that they add!

OLD: REVIEW: When I first bought this game I was a little underwhelmed, everything was very samey, and there really wasn't much to do. Well after coming back post 0.7, because planes, I am pleasantly surprised by the progress made. While there is still a lot of that sameyness in the towns that were first released, the new additions to the map are awesome.
Dodging mechs to try and get to the good loot, or steal a plane, is wicked fun, and can really get the heart pounding. While most PvP servers are full of the usual Shoot on Sight crowd, even if you surrender or running around naked, there are some that have great communities. The PvE servers I joined were quite chill though.
A couple notes: Unless you want to never find a decent anything, and be constantly starving DO NOT join an official server. They have really bunked settings, and are more a chore than fun. Find yourself a nice active unofficial server instead. I couldn't find one to my exact preferences so I started my own little PvE server with PvP zones.
It is very much still early access at this point, bug are gonna happen, either report them through proper channels or get over it and go play one of those 'finished' games. You may even find more bugs in them than here tbh.
