TLDR: Doom Eternal was better, and has more content for less money.
This game feels watered down, there are 10x the number of enemies on the screen at times, but special glory kills (One of my favorite parts of previous games) are reserved for mini bosses, while other finishers are a simple melee to regain health.
There are a ton of weapons in this game, too many, I found myself using the same 4 guns throughout my playthrough. The Shield was a fun mechanic to play with and felt really nice at times. (But if you want to parry projectiles you should try ultrakill instead.)
The parts of the game when you can drive your Atlan or Ride your Dragon are REALLY cool. But it would have been nice to do it more often.
Some maps are straightforward with little secrets to uncover, but big maps with lots of secrets felt abysmal when trying to go for 100%
I finished the game in about 10 hours, probably collecting under half of the secrets in total, but I think i'd rather do something else rather than go back and find everything.
The story feels independent from the others despite it being labeled as a prequel. I'd hope that in the future DLC they go into detail on what happens between The Dark Ages and 2016.
$70 Dollars is way too much for what you get here, Doom Eternal was a much more fun game to play and as of writing only costs $40.

The Music Was Nowhere near as good as Doom 2016 or Doom Eternal, and I don't think its even close.

A Fun game to turn your brain off to, and look at cute fish. Took <10 Hours to 100%
