First time?

I have had zero issues with the regular mods until the Creations Anniversary update, so it is likely to be a bug more than anything else. All my other mods It affected even the Creations non-Club mods. Then only things not affected were the contents from the Creations DLC bundle. I have no Nexus mods.

I can see that being a problem if the player is using Creation Club mods along with Nexus free mods at the same time. Seems that Bethesda is trying to push Creation Club content more to get players to use that instead of Nexus free mods.

I actually had to turn off the built in load order checker for Fallout 4 to get my mods working properly. Seems their built in load order checker is completely broken and causes a handshake loop with the server. This causes the load order up not load properly…and that triggers the system to turn off mods it couldn’t verify.

By the looks of it, Steam went the route of "enough monkeys with a typewriter and we will make a masterpiece", its just that they overly underestimated the amount of monkeys they need.

When it comes to Support, they have to be extremely lucky to even get the most basic of things even remotely correct.

Seems to be going downhill, and one of those situations that has to get worse, sadly, before it can maybe get better.

Support is really off the rails.
One time they bonked my entire profile and when i went to appeal they said that "they don't keep track of that content history" so they can't tell me what rule I broke and how, and that "ban was applied correctly" in the same paragraph.

Even when i tried to report bugs with Steam store pages itself it took a little of back and forth before they understood what i meant along with tons of screenshots so they can "pass it on" and fix.

Yes, an now many are using ChatGPT to make posts, instead of using their own language to post and letting others translate. Often, the user does not even know or understand what the ChatGPT is saying, so it makes things worse with miscommunication issues.

Steam moderation has always been the worst part about the platform. Been there plenty of times for different reasons to prove wrongdoing and they didn't care.

But I have had a few times where they did unban me and took what I said about some devs in the past and actually took action on them (even if it took them around a year to do anything).

It's almost impossible to get a ban removed if you're innocent

Got a second response, they went completely off the rails with it, pretty much ignoring the fact that I wanted a forum ban removal and took my response as “feedback” on advice I gave (with the typical cookie cutter response for that topic, as expected)

This is too headache inducing for me so yeah, not announcing my departure but will keep an eye out for improvement that will pretty much never happen (I totally want to be wrong on that last note)

Thank you pal, unfortunately they claim that the ban was correct, I sent a further reply but no matter what they say I am done with this ♥♥♥♥. The only thing I could see is that perhaps OP saw it as mocking them but the intent was as a general criticism based on what you said

I am glad to hear you will do what you said. Yes, at least the volunteer mods read context and did not just shoot from the hip, so to speak. I know other friends that have got wrongful bans removed, so you are probably right. My post after your's is still there where I said I rather enjoyed your sarcasm, so that should help, hopefully. The only posts I report in the VAC forum are the mods, actually, when they leave the wrong links to the wrong support pages, as you well know they do often.

The part that bothers me about this is that, as you said, this never should have happened in the first place if the mods do their jobs

Even when I was at odds with SV while volunteer mods were a thing I never would question his effectiveness. It was a misunderstanding on my part and him and I are cool

I can try to revert report the comment unless it was deleted and say it was just a joke, but I doubt they will understand, given that they did not understand it was sarcasm in the first place.

I have tried some of the more known overhaul mods, but for now I usually play older alphas of the game while the game is still being updated. I think once the game is finished, I might install Undead Legacy and play on that one again for a while.

I'd be far more impressed if he said he played with no mods.

To be fair, I was a little forceful in trying to explain the difference between bans and cooldowns to him, because he was asking how his "ban" was not removed like so many other game bans during the recent issue. We were trying to tell him his cooldowns have nothing to do with those game bans, and were a separate issue, but it was proving to be difficult.
