Review based on Server Slam and Launch:

Overall Marathon is a good game with a solid core gameplay loop. Gun play feels great, weapons feel like they each have a purpose, the Runners abilities all feel interesting and unique, maps have enough going on and feel different from each other (could be improved more). Map events are decent but should be expanded upon and the early game quests are good enough but nothing ground breaking.

The ui/menus need work, it's a pain to use and look at overall, it should/will need to be improved.

The Enemy AI is great however there is a lack of variety in the types of enemies you fight. I would love for them to introduce more types of both robotic enemies and fauna enemies not just in the late game maps but also in the early game maps.

The core of Marathon is there, Bungie just needs to hit their stride and hopefully continually improve it. If they put in the effort there is no reason why they can't make Marathon a better game and a decent comeback story for Bungie.

First part is from when I thought the game could have a future, Amazon Game Studios proved me wrong I guess.
(Honestly a great game, If you are a first time player it is 100% worth it. It has a great Early-Endgame and was fun throughout.
Just wish it had more care and content being pumped into it rather than just Battle Passes. Hoping that it either starts getting the love and content it deserves or a New World 2 in the future. I would love to comeback and play more.

Amazon killed it, a game that easily had legs if they actually produced content more than once a year.
This is the last game I will be buying from Amazon Game Studios.

Games gone from,” look at all these cool classes” to “why would I play anything but light”.

In its current state I cannot recommend the game due to its constant crashes which make it more of a chore than fun to play.
While what I have seen of the combat and story so far is great, its just to unstable and frankly is in a shockingly bad state.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, UI IS GARBAGE, SOUND SETTINGS DONT LOAD SO U GET BLASTED BY INTRO MUSIC. IM 10MINS IN AND I ALREADY HATE IT

The good:
Combat, Movement.

The Bad:
Boring story were it seems most of the important plot points occur off screen. The gameplay is extremely repetitive, with the same 1-3 side missions in every zone. The map is one of the blandest and least inspired looking things i have ever seen. All the terrain feels the exact same with little variation and really doesnt provide any reason to explore nor does it give you a sense of awe when you do.

Fun combat with multiple ways to play/build a character. End game is a bit repetitive but has a decent amount of content which is still getting added to, worth checking out if the game is on sale.

Very fun to play with randoms, great community.

If you liked the other Wolfenstein games you will hate this one.
