Brings you back but not too far

While I enjoyed playing, nothing will come near The Neverhood. If you've played The Neverhood before and enjoyed it then you will certainly enjoy this game, short however and not too challenging but still worth it.

I wouldn't pick this game up at full price however, get it when its on sale for under $10 and it'll feel like money well spent.

A few bugs here and there but nothing too game breaking. only problem I had was not being able to save my progess once near the end. The windows mouse stuck around over the game's mouse throughout the game was kind of annoying and some menu color problems while playing as beak beak were about the only things I noticed.

Early Access Review
Fantastic!

Lets get one thing straight right off the bat, this game is for higher end machines. Does that mean mid-grade computers can't handle it? No. They can, it will just not look as good.

This is my new favorite survival game, who doesn't like walking around with dinosaurs!?!? There is plenty of things to do in this game, at almost 637hrs of play time I haven't even explored all the caves or even hit max level. I play on a private PvPvE server with a small group of friends so there really isn't any PvP to worry about. The community is very helpful and the devs are doing an amazing job on bug fixing, releasing new content and updating the community on whats upcoming.

Some Features
- PvE servers (no land claiming but structures and dinos are safe)
- PvP servers
- Primitive servers (only early technology)
- Can tame almost every dino
- Base building (right now only square patterns)
- Underwater exploration and content
- Above ground caves to explore
- loot drops (must be of level to open)
- Character progression (currently 67 levels)
- Colors! (you can color armor, weapons, buildings, saddles and much more)
- Learn engrams to craft items based on character level

Can I run it?
I've played this on two different video cards and have constantly compared performance with my friend's builds and this is what I feel is the minimum to running the game on with current optimization to run it on med-high settings (low, med, high, epic)

-4gb video card memory
-3.2ghz processor or higher
-6mb down internet
-8gb RAM

Cons and after cons
- Gathering can be quite the grind when it comes to stone
- Dinosaurs AI is okay for now, but often things can get stuck behind the simplest of objects like smalls trees
- Holy crap is that metal wall reflective
- Optimization (but its getting better by the day)
- Some invisible walls in caves when on dinos (not sure if there on purpose or accident)

After cons

- New dinos are coming out that will make gathering much much easier
- Dino AI will be improved upon, but much later in development
- Optimization has improved, and will continue, you just have to take it step by step
- Dev responded to my post on a invisible wall inside a cave but I haven't seen any further action

After thoughts
This is going to be a really great game with lots of content, its fun to play with 1-2 friends but can easily be played solo on official PvE servers. The devs are really pushing out the updates and their forum post on patch notes is nicely laid out and easy to read whats currently in the game and whats upcoming. While I haven't seen many devs replying to forum posts, everyone in the community knows that they are listening.

If your looking for a new survival game I'd recommend this, at the rate of new content being added, this game will be over amazing by its official full release date.
