As with all multiplayer only games, Blackwake is as good as the people you are playing it with. If everyone wants to have a laugh and learn to play properly then it makes for some of the best evenings of gaming I've had.

If you end up playing with people who have no real interest in learning to play the game or making it a team effort then it becomes dry and the server becomes a bit toxic until more experienced players and mods jump in.

I wholeheartedly recommend this game if you're happy to learn and have the patience to see past the more frustrating matches.

Rimworld is a brilliant game.

Every play through is different and while I always start the game hoping that my colony live the socialist dream, my colonists get hungry and turning into a cannibal tribe seems like the only way.

I can't recommend Rimworld strongly enough.

I have fond memories of trailing LAN cables out of my university hall window and back in through the window of a friend who lived below me to allow us to play Age of Empires II together with others in the hall. Many epic battles were fought and cries of "p*ss off with those elephants!" or "At least wait until I'm in the castle age!" would often be heard by passers by.

This HD remake recreates the fun of the past. I'm happy to say that it's still a great game. The AI update is much appreciated and actually tricky to beat when the difficulty is ramped up. The online game creation is easy to use and while I tend only to play with friends, there seems to be a fair number of people who still jump on.

I can definitely recomment this game although considering how many AoE2 disks I bought when it came out, the £15 price tag on this version was a little tricky to swallow. If you've never played this AoE2 before, I still recommend it but probably only if you're going to play with friends online. For a single player campaign, there are definitely better RTS options out there.

I was really looking forward to this game but even as an early access release, it's just lacking.

I keep encountering bugs, the animations kinda suck and the tone of the game just doesnt feel like roller coaster tycoon. The franchise kinda used to have more humour.

Maybe I'll try again when the game's finished but for now it's a firm thumbs DOWN.

Really enjoying this game so far. It's a bit easy to get sucked in for a whole day! Oops!
