One of the greatest games ever made, not just of its type but of any genre. The support and love poured into this game is unmatched anywhere else I've seen.

This is my first experience in the Monster Hunter franchise and I have had a very enjoyable experience with it. I have plenty of things left to do even after 40+ hours. I feel like having someone who knows the game help explain some things helped, but a wiki would also get you going pretty well. There is so much to explore I would describe it as an MMO experience you can have on your own schedule. Extremely developed and rich world with lots of little details to appreciate.

UI and performance have some things left to be desired. As a primarily PC player for the last few decades the UI and systems are horrendous. They get their intended job done but it is incredibly cumbersome and messy to do most things that should be a hotkey or intuitive. A lot of time has been wasted searching menus for how to do things such as join a friend on a quest that should be second nature and easy to accomplish. So you'll need some patience for some things.
