Super fun - way better than the 'other game' (iykyk)
This is what Devil May Cry would be if it was 2D. Haven't had this much fun in ages - the gameplay is fantastic and the visuals are beautiful for what this game is - just don't go in for the 'story' - that's not what this game is about. 10/10!

Short first impressions (subject to change) review

Pros:
- good game, nothing out of the ordinary but well made product
- beautiful design in terms of visual element
- interesting story so far

Cons:
- for the love of God, please fix the random crashes on PC
- save system is confusing, bugged at the moment
- forces you to use an Xbox account in order to keep you save files in a cloud

For anyone one new if it seems you just lost you save files,
log out of Xbox log in again and when it asks which saves to keep pick the newest

I like this game but I can't recommend it in it's current state. Balancing was horrible on launch and although it's gotten a lot better it still has a lot problems, it made me hate King (one of my favorite characters) absolutely despise him in this game - I'd rather go afk and give a free win rather than deal with hiss bulls*it, it's simply not fun. Besides this, not only does the company insist on shooting itself in the foot by doing controversial stuff such adding a store after the game launched, not including Heihachi's stage as part of the season pass, battle pass has recycled T7 content, players can rage-quit and save scum with barely any sort of consequences, netcode is mediocre etc. this game costs 70 euros my friends AND will cost extra with the season passes, even more since stages are now sold separately - this sort of stuff at this price is unacceptable. If Namco can't say no to management and stop them from including these anti-consumer microtransactions and shady business practices they can't hope to keep this game afloat for next 10 years. I used to believe in what Namco was trying to to do with Tekken but now not so much. They have a great product but a good looking apple that rots from within will eventually start looking ugly on the outside as well. They either go their own way and split from BAMCO, that is if they even care about their game or stay with them and watch as they slowly die out because at this point the BAMCO entity seems only to care about $$$$$$$$ even if the game is going from GOTY material to dumpster fire.

The game is good but there are a few annoying issues that might make this a deal breaker for you depending on your own personal preferences.

Notes at the time of this review.

Pros:
- finely crafted CRPG with a good story.
- fun gameplay.
- character build customization has lots of variety.
- the music is really cool, it does a good job for setting up the overall theme of the game.
- it does a good job at portraying the warhammer 40k universe.

Cons:
- you will need a certain resource in order to advance in the story, at the time of this review there does not seem like there is a way to replenish this if you use it up by accident like I did. i had use Toybox (a cheat engine) to replenish it. This was the most annoying issue I had encountered. Seems like a bug or a design issue. In any case it almost made me want to make this a negative review because of it so keep that in mind.
- quite a few bugs, both visual and technical (weird highlighted objects in the environment, some character perk/abilities do not seem to work properly)
- no option to scale the UI, it can be hard to observe some visual elements like character buff icons for example.
- too much flavor text in certain cases in my opinion, sometimes the lingo makes no sense, making it hard to understand the plot of quests. (thinking of companion Pasqal's questline)

A good game. A sort of 'hidden gem' type of game. I give it a 8/10 because it takes way too long to complete.

Pros:
- Well made CRPG, good story, cool characters, it's all there.
- Good visuals, better than average for these sort of games.
- Interesting game mechanics thanks to it's implementation of the Pathfinder game system.
- Mythic path options are really cool and interesting.
- A ton of character classes, love it, you can get lost in character creation.
- Custom game difficulty settings (thank Jeebus for that).

Cons:
- Takes ages to complete, 200h in at the time of writing this review, and I'm still not done with a first playthrough.
- A truckload of micromanagement for your characters.
- You need to understand the Pathfinder (first edition) system in order to enjoy the game which takes a while to learn, sure you can play on easier difficulties but it's no fun when you steamroll enemies.
- Some enemies have way too much AC (Armor class)/SR (Spell resistance) and they're hard to deal with, even with 'proper' character builds, it's just dumb.
- Needless 'Crusade' turn based mode mini-game, not really fun.
(tip: set the difficulty for the this on easiest, it can get frustrating managing the 'morale' resource in this game. I had to mess with .JSON files at one point to fix this because I screwed up and ended up with no viable way of restoring morale)

Tips if you plan on buying this game:
- Search nexus mods for the 'Potramatic mod'.
- Watch some videos explaining the game mechanics (I recommend Slandered Gaming on YouTube) and try playing on regular or core difficulties, for more enjoyment.
- Some of the classes are completely useless (side-effect of being a lot of them, was to be expected).
- A mercenary Sensei (custom Monk companion with the Sensei sublcass) can make your life a lot easier on higher difficulties.

Pros:

- decent net code

- probably the best graphics in a fighting game

- okish story mode

- Akuma/Geese (nice too see how a modern 3D fighter would look like with these type of
characters)

Cons:

- Update (09.05.2020) -> Game balance is still garbage!

- overpriced DLCs

- inhumanly high skill cap

- online is full of spammers - if you're a new player be prepared to taste the most exquisite types of cheeses ever, you're in the right place

- matchmaking is broken, you're a beginner, no problem here you go - a Tekken god prime player - have fun loosing the next
10000000000000000 games in a row, what? you quit? no problem we'l just rematch you with the same fu*ker again.

- simple things like movement requires knowledge of broken exploitable game mechanics aka. kbd (korean back dash). Have
fun wasting that next months of your life learning how to properly move instead of enjoying the game.

- Jukebox with classic tekken songs is exclusive to the PS4

- if you want to stand a chance you need to know the move set of every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ character or else you WILL get
destroyed by the most r.etarded 50/50 combos known to man.
(you think sub zero is bad in MK11? HAHAHAHAHA )

- the most toxic, elitist community ever - even worse than mobas if that's even possible

- customization is a joke compared to Tekken 6 (Not counting Tag 2 we don't talk about that..)

- why the ♥♥♥♥ are the following characters dlc: anna williams, lei wulong, julia chang, craig marduk and armor king. It's like guile in sf5 only 5 times the greed.

- besides the recording option, training mode is almost worthless in order to learn what you
can do against characters. You just need to grind it out online with BS characters.

- Master Raven instead of Raven

- Devs refuse to add Kazuma Kiryu to the game

- Noctis and Lucky Chloe for existing in this game
(better add these guys instead like old fan favorites like Baek Doo San, Bruce Irvin, Wang
Jinrei etc. Hell, even Mokujin and Gon would have been better than those 2 miserable pile of
turds)

- There are STILL touch of death combos present in the game (looking at Geese...)

- edit dec 2019 - money for frame data support? Are you f*cking serious... ?

- TLDR: It's an awesome game and I like it but I can't recommend it to new people, not in it's current state - steep learning curve in a fighter is no excuse for a frustrating experience.
This is the Dark Souls of fighting games and that's a big NO NO for a fighter.
Difficult execution is enough.

- the skillcap is absurd and game mechanics are abusable, DLCs are overpriced and devs ask money for frame data... :| and what's worse you have the the headless chicken fanboys (just like the ones who think Kojima is a god) who blindly support this kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I'd change this to a thumbs up if the frame data option was free. But nope this is like devs
taking a giant dump in the face of people who have been asking for this feature for years.

- No, no matter how many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ keep telling you this is the most balanced fighting game
ever, it's a lie.

- There is no such thing as a balanced fighting game. You want an example? Take 2 players of equal skill and make one play Armor King and the other play Xiaoyu or Zafina (just an example). Willing to bet 5 bucks AK is gonna get his ass destroyed 70% of the time.

This game is more frustrating than fun.
( Fanboys, get it in your thick skulls, all your arguments are invalid ).

*If you're a sane person, thanks for taking the time to read

*If you're a opinionated fanboy - go back to your hole, maybe you can set the world record for doing 99999999 perfect EWGF's in a row you f*cking robot. Put a fundoshi on Heihachi while at it, I'm sure you're 'hardcore' enough.

If you are a Street Fighter fan you will most likely like this, the core gameplay is good, charcaters are easier to learn compared to SF 4 and the current charcater roster is diverse enough for every sort player. If you're a casual player and just want to play vs the computer this is probably not for you just get SF4 instead if you want that. The story mode is there sure but currently there is no arcade mode just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ surivial mode that's likely more to frustrate you rather than provide a source of entertainment. Capcom is as usual is super greedy and finds a way to milk the game as much as possible with super expensive "season passes" which is basically an excuse no to do the whole "Super duper mega ultra with mustard on top V2421 Hyper Swagger" edition thing again. Also be warned if you purchase the season pass you DO NOT get the extra stages and you not get all the character costumes just a few of them, you need to purchase them individually with Fight Money or real cash. Also it can take a crapload of time to find someone with a decent enough connection to play the game with. Despite it's faults like I wrote earlier the core gameplay is solid and is definitely worth getting but only if you like SF. The game still needs work and it has the potential to improove just make sure you think things through if you want to get this. 8/10 and i'm being generous cuse' i like the game.

Game is good but Human Revolution had a way better story and overall atmosphere, it feels rushed and the PC version is a bit buggy - has some problems Human Revolution had as well gameplay wise - vents can easily bypass most of the maps and some Jensen's augs feel useless - especially if you like playing stealthy. Has corporatist style micro transactions and that I'm sorry to say that will always feel disgusting especially in a single player game. Visually the game looks better, and it has a few new interesting characters and the gameplay feels satisfying. Overall the it's a great game but it could of been better. Can't help the feeling that SE sunk it's corporatist overlord fangs into it - I mean like really? Are you so desperate to milk money that you make your devs include a shop for Praxis points? why not add a shop for every item in the game while you're at it?. I still recomend this game but it would be better to wait for a sale.
