Despite everything, I've had only good times playing this game. Haven't encountered anything gamebreaking that forced me into the console or restart all over, a simple reload of the save fixes most things.

XCOM. Where do I begin? This may be one of the greatest games I've ever played. You get to command your own squad against the aliens as they invade earth.

The best part of this game is that, when you've managed to get some of your squad members to a higher ranks. You become so attached to them that.. when they get killed. And believe me they will get killed. You scream at the monitor and vow to exact revenge on those gray bastards who has slain your most beloved operator.

Strategy based, turn based game. It takes wits and cordination, because if you're a hot-head and just rush in guns blazing you wont last long.

I highly recommend the expansion pack ENEMY WITHIN as you have to start from scratch with it, so you might as well get it from the beginning. This game can be somewhat glitchy at times but usually these glitches are source of some of the best laughs I've had playing games.

In short; You command your own anti-alien squad, take care of the funding and economy of the XCOM iniative and make sure earths defense is up to par against those damn aliens.
