It's Dark Souls Diablo. Don't go in expecting a typical ARPG. It really is more like a metroidvania souls-like than that.

Oddly nostalgic, though I never played much of this series; I can feel the early 2000's in the design. Lords of Magic, Majesty, that sort of vibe. And obviously Age of Wonders, the OG, from eons ago.

+ The combat mechanics are smooth and engaging
+ Exploration is encouraged and enjoyable
+ Community is chill, from what I have seen.
+ Highly imaginative setting
+ Not P2W
+Several server styles to suit your tastes, from casual fun to hellish pvpve nightmares
+ Responsive, passionate dev team.

- UI is not intuitive
- Formatting and translation errors are fairly common
- The abundance of game systems are cumbersome
- The lack of on-boarding for new players can leave one feeling overwhelmed.

Its good. Its free. Its unique. Its worth a try.

This may be the next big thing if they keep the updates going. Solid horror, solid gameplay, solid... aesthetic? Perfect accompaniment to the progenitor of the Weird Extraction Horror genre, Lethal Company

Maybe I am just lucky, but I haven't had any performance issues - just a lot of fun with an awesome game.

Granted, I game at 1080p like a scrub, but I have never seen the need for higher resolution. Probably just getting older and set in my ways, but it is what it is. Try it, or don't. I had fun so far, you might too.
