After six+ years playing Dead by Daylight, it's so clear that the dev team haven't an iota of technical management needed to work on a project as complex as they have made.

They make updates regularly, but the pace of fixes is a bit slow, and the pace of new bugs being introduced grows. Every release introduces new bugs and balance issues. Broken perks, over/under tuned powers, and map generation changes that obviously weren't play tested properly and completely ruin the balance are just the reality of this game's experience.

The core gameplay and mechanics are solid, really fun, and have engaging skill ceilings, which is why I continue to play, but the development process feels so disorganized at times that it can be horrible to stay on after just a few games.

DBD is a clear case of wasted potential due to poor development practices. A simple dedicated group of play testers that know the game very well would fix 90% of the problems they have, and they have proven that they listen to the community, so hope is not lost, but it has been a tiring trudge through the years of trip ups that prevent me from really recommending the game.
