If you like My Summer Car and want more of a challenge you'll love this. If you haven't played My Summer Car then I wouldn't start with this game it's not as well documented as the first game and a lot harder you will not have a good time as it currently stands and you're better off with the first game.

Fantastic game plain and simple. If you like the look of any gameplay you've seen this is probably for you.

Everything from the sense of speed to the soundtrack all brings together this fantastic experience with a shocking amount of depth in the rouge-like upgrade system and levels. The random generation here while I admit occasionally a bit unfair feeling in the harder stages does generate mostly fun and varied levels to speed through. Finally I've got to give the multiplayer props as well if you want something pretty much good at dealing with bad or long distance connections, boat loads of fun too having people to race.

I honestly barely have anything bad to say and the what I do have isn't worth much saying. The game is well worth the money and your time.

Basically in short if you liked TXR back in the day or if you had a love for PS2 era racing games in general this should be an instant buy for you. If not but you still like racing games give this a go it's a very unique game I think is worth your time filled with charm, personality and a clear love for cars on the development teams side. Even with as few hours as I have at time of writing I'm both impressed with what is here and can see loads of potential from Genki's revival I can't wait to see what is done with this game and any potential sequels.

Fantastic game plain and simple. Don't be put off by it being a train game it has excellent mechanics and progression and is consistently supported by an amazing team that just keeps shocking me with amazing updates that honestly if where DLCs I would not be upset about BUT THEY ARE FREE! Honestly I have nothing unkind to say about Derail Valley or Altfuture please give them your support. I look forward to see what they do in future!

Honestly this game isn't for everyone. Hell this game might not even be for a lot of people but it is a fantastically unique experience that defies standard categorization. The games frustrating, difficult and overly punishing and that's why it's fantastic because that's what makes the victories all the more satisfying. Nothing in a videogame has ever given me the same feeling as starting and moving Satsuma for the first time and similarly nothing has made me feel such heartbreak as the car stalling on the tracks right after and getting hit by a train losing the save.

Basically the games a one of a kind experience and I think it's worth giving a shot even if you aren't completely sold on it because I doubt there will be a game anything like it again... Well excluding it's coming sequel anyway. Go have your Finnish Summer and experience all the saunas, beer and highspeed accidents it's got to enjoy!

Amazing game fully recommend. Car controls are super tight and responsive, the Sega Saturn graphics emulation is on point and the soundtrack is great. My only complaint is there isn't enough people in the online to play against so come on buy a copy and race me!

Honestly I'm a long time Forza fan I've been playing these games for over a decade since Motorsport 4 and I just gotta say. I give up. This series peaked with that Xbox 360 title all the way back in 2011, I have had fun with all the Motorsports since though. Even the rocky ones like 5 and 7 but this is the one I ended up giving up on the quickest, don't let the 70 hours fool you my actual racing time is closer to probably 20-30 hours. Because of the first major issue the levelling for performance parts I did a fair amount of AFK driving to get a few of my favourites up. This system also ruins one of my favourite pastimes just doing random builds with friends like picking a class and a theme like say JDM, 80s or Muscle cars or so on, with the time to get any upgrades these became more time consuming than it was worth to do.

Second major problem with the game it's nothing we haven't seen before. No I mean literally 19 out of 20 cars are just direct ports from previous games with some of them going back further than I've been with the franchise. Single players barebones just a handful of races with a set theme then move onto the next one with no logical progression I mean you start in A and S class and then downgrade to C and B later?

Third point and this is a really abstract point but I feel like I should make it anyway. The games just soul-less. This has been a creeping problem for these games for a while, the older ones felt like an expression of love for cars and motorsport. The original Forzavista with the voiceovers from Jeremy Clarkson, the themed reward cars you got as you leveled up and the other types of racing and challenges you could do than just straight track racing. It's just it's all disappointing and I wouldn't get this game.

Use the money and go track down an old console and old racing games let them surprise you, especially ones from the sixth and seventh generation. This game being the straw that broke the camels back going back to those has been a breath of fresh air these things are full of soul and love for everything car. They even do some things better than the modern stuff and it's well worth spending the time to discover them. Anyway this is becoming less of a review more of an impassioned rant of an old Forza fan, if you read all of this up to this point then thank you. In summery though go play any other racer than this, Horizon 5 is right there and far better even if you don't want to stray too far away.

It's a short experience but well worth a play. Main story will only take a couple hours at most but it's a very enjoyable couple of hours. There is an endless mode and more difficulty's I'm yet to see if they hold my attention but I'll see the campaign does leave you wanting for more. The fast placed old Doom 2 with the Brutal mod installed feels satisfying as hell and if your worried like I was that games like Doom Eternal and Ultrakill left you feeling exhausted and unable to play on any difficulty that would actually be fun to do. This game has no such issue it's more about being reactive than precise so you can still feel like a badass at a high pace in normal and it is plenty satisfying. If you don't have that worry there's 3 difficulties above normal I'm sure you'll find your pace somewhere in there. Anyway all around amazing game would recommend to anyone who is even remotely interested by the trailers

Helldivers 2 has been fantastic. Generally fun game but the thing I want to highlight is outside of a few blips early on due to Sony meddling this game has been very player first. There's none of the usual FOMO like limited time battlepasses and Bundles. All in game currency can be earned and at a decent rate so no need to buy any of it. Basic loadouts and basic stratagems still have a place on higher difficulties meaning no having to grind your friends up before they can come fight with you. This is a game that respects you and your time if you can only play a few hours at the weekend or if you want to play hours everyday this game will be good for you and for those two types of players to play together I fully recommend supporting this studio and hopefully setting a standard for other Multiplayer games

Honestly if your a longtime Bethesda fan and enjoyed Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and 4 you'll love this as it's basically built on everything that's came before and improved on it. If your coming at this expecting anything like No Mans Sky exploration and ship flying or Baldur's Gate deep RPG mechanics then you will be disappointed and I recommend just turning back to those games for the time being

Edit: So I did feel this way when I played it but weirdly. The games left no impact on me and I can only remember a couple of story points, weird for a game I played for this long huh? I think I was on the hype of finally a new Bethesda RPG it's been what a near a decade since the last one I was a teenager then. Probably also imagining an insane modding scene like Fallout 4s to be coming any minute in which it just didn't. I wouldn't recommend this now but I'm keeping the original text for myself to remember what I wrote.
