A fantastic short experience easily worth the price of admission. The mechanics are simple but are used creatively and are experimented with in unexpected ways. The writing is fantastic too. Strongly recommend.

This game is a perfect example of how to innovate on a now decade old formula. In some ways Sekiro is more forgiving than Dark Souls and Bloodborne, but in other ways it is much harder. I came to this game with 700+ hours experience across DS 1 to 3 and BB and this game was still a challenge. This is because, despite feeling familiar in some ways, this game is a different beast to SoulsBorne games. There are less play styles in Sekiro; the experience is more focused on mastering the satisfying swordplay. The game will often punish you for playing it like Dark Souls, so for people like me it meant unlearning hundreds of hours of muscle memory. There are also no true RPG stat systems, meaning you can't grind to be overpowered or make one shot builds that destroy the bosses in this game. One omission that Dark Souls fans may miss is PvP. If you play DS or BB exclusively for multiplayer, this game may not be for you, but it is clear as to why multiplayer isn't here as this game is a more story and character based experience. While DS and BB have stories, it is much more about the lore and the phantom system has some logic within this lore. In Sekiro, however, the lore probably wouldn't work with multiplayer (unless they designed it from the ground up with it mind but idk)

Overall, Sekiro is an amazing game and is of the quality of the SoulsBorne games that led to it. It successfully innovates on a starting to stale formula and has many memorable moments throughout. This will likely be my GOTY

Edit:
I have now gotten every achievement in the game with a save file of 51.5 hours. While some of the later achievements become a little grindy, it is overall a satisfying experience to 100% just like Bloodborne was. While I actually prefer the Dark Souls games to the spin offs, the achievements for all the spells, gestures, rings etc make them too tedious to 100%. Sekiro is a satisfying game to fully complete, however, and I would highly recommend doing so.

Fallout: New Vegas is a masterpiece of a video game. The open world genre is over-saturated and full of generic and boring titles such as several Ubisoft Sandboxes. Few are truly great, such as the Witcher 3 and Zelda Breath of the Wild. Both of these are some of my favourite games, so when I say Fallout NV is easily in this group, that says how good this game is. Yes, the gameplay is improvable, such as the lack of sprint and kind of meh shooting (it isn't that bad once you get used to it). What this game does so well for me is the way you interact with people and the world. The karma system isn't exclusive to this game, but it is done exceptionally well and adds immense weight to decisions involving groups of people, such as the NCR and the Legion. There are so many different paths you can take, giving you a massive amount of freedom for an RPG (much more than the Witcher 3). The game is not especially polished, however. The framerate isn't too bad, but the game does crash occasionally, most commonly in the opening loading screen. The textures can also be quite bad, but this can be solved with mods. The most prominant lack of polish is the glitches. Many characters get stuck in walls on several occasions throughout the game. While the lack of polish is worth mentioning, it should not stop you playing arguably one of the best RPGs ever created.

My hour count looks low but that is only because I refunded this game as I had no controller and played through it on my Nintendo Switch basically to completion. This is a fantastic metroidvania game and one of the greatest 2D games I have personally played. It has one of the best hand drawn art styles in gaming, rivalling even Cuphead. The DLC is free but is arguably better than some paid DLC for other games. The 2D combat is challening, responsive and satisfying. The world design is top notch, rivalling Dark Souls. In fact I think Dark Souls is a surprisingly good comparison, unlike almost every other game compared to Dark Souls. A world in ruins with lore told through fantastic visual story telling with few but memorable NPCs scattered around its beautiful and masterfully crafted world with incredible and challenging bosses. I could not recommend this game enough.

I first bought Prey in the Steam summer sales around a year ago. I made it around 3/4 through the game before I stopped, mainly because I also happened to buy Dark Souls 3 at the same time and that game took up my life for a while. About a week ago, I thought I would replay this game and give it a fair shot and after finally beating it i can say this is an amazing game. It is not perfect by any stretch. The combat is a bit clunky and slow, some enemies are annoying as all **** and there are a few bugs, such as one that allowed me to get near unlimited ammo. This is a Bethesda game though, bugs are to be expected. This game has great exploration, good lore and story telling and an interesting setting, making Prey one of the most underrated masterpieces of 2017.

Overall, this is likely my favourite game of all time. I came to this game after over 150 hours in Dark Souls 3, a game I enjoyed a lot. This, this blew that one out of the water. I have beaten every boss and optional boss (the dlc in ng+) and, save 1 or 2, all of the battles were rewarding experiences. Some bosses are absolute standouts, such as Dragonslayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough or Knight Artorias. Neither of these were the games hardest (looking at you Manus Father of the Abyss), but they were the most satisfying kills and, O and S in particular, some of the best boss battles in gaming. I love this game and cannot wait to get it on my Nintendo Switch in May. Do yourself a favour, buy this game (with dsfix of course), it is a truly incredible experience.

My opinions on this game regularly change. Sometimes it is amazingly fun and sometimes I feel like putting my head through my monitor and my foot through my PC. I've beaten the game several times and put hundreds of hours into PvP and will review PvE and PvP individually.

First PvE. While one of, in my opinion, it is one of the weaker PvE's in the series, it is still solid and probably one of the most reliable in terms of combat. There are a few issues I have with it, however. First of all, many enemies are extremely 'spammy' and fast. This isn't bad 90% of the time, but occasionally, despite being the most fast paced Dark Souls game, your character cannot deal with the situation. Some enemies feel like they are rejected Bloodborne enemies, a game which I do personally prefer. This is rarely unfair, however, and adds another layer of difficulty which is needed now that the combat is more refined and reliable. Dark Souls 3 is also surprisingly linear in comparison to previous entries. The best example of where this is not the case is the original Dark Souls, my personal favourite. Here, instead of branching paths and shortcuts between areas, you effectively move from one area to the next in a set order. There are occasions where multiple paths are offered for you, but the chances are one is 'correct' and mandatory and the other is optional and is a dead end. Despite these flaws, however, I must say that DS3 has a near unmatched boss quality, if not for Bloodborne. Some of the series' best are in this title and its DLC (my personal favourites being Sister Friede and Gael). The areas themselves are also quite fun to explore and have shortcuts within themselves. It is a shame they don't link separate areas like the series was once known for though.

PvP is what I have spent the majority of my hours on. The sheer amount of possible builds and play styles in PvP is amazing but also its biggest flaw. With this many options, it is near impossible for it all to be balanced, which is the case here. Certain weapons and builds are immensely overpowered and in some cases broken. I would be lying if I said that it is impossible to counter these builds, for I myself have learnt how to deal with some of them (like a certain pair of UGS) but it can be immensely frustrating to come up against a player who kills you in a single stun lock combo or instantly parries and one shots you.

The thing with Dark Souls is these flaws and this jank is what makes it so special. Yes, you can be one shot parried and ganged up on by four people, or R1 spammed by a straight sword, or get stuck in weapon arts from Ringed Knight UGS or Friede's Scythe, but it is the only game where you get the immense satisfaction of landing a parry yourself or successfully killing all four of those gankers spamming R1 and chugging. I can't lie, I have walked away from this game for extended periods due to frustration, but this addictive satisfaction has pulled me back time and time again. This is why I recommend this game, because despite its many flaws, it offers a feeling of satisfaction unmatched by other games of this generation. While this is most certainly not the best in the series (I would recommend DS1 or BB more), it is still a game that is well worth your time.

This game is a fun and relaxing experience that anyone who enjoys games such as Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon. As well as that, the co-op is brilliant and fun too. Highly recommend!

Saw Markiplier play it. Thought it looked funny and not that scary. Got it with a friend. Played multiplayer. Stayed near the base. PLayed singleplayer with friends round my house, it went well till night fell, and we were looking at the cameras, switching between them. Randomly clicked on a camera and Rake was staring right at it. Scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of my friends as i laughed at them. Worth it.
