I want to love it, I really do. But the fact that the servers have literally been down since launch is pretty damning.
Losing the Crime.Net style browser was a mistake.

Edit: I am willing to change this, if they fix it, but even when servers were up, it was taking a considerable amount of time to find a game, only for you to get into a lobby with someone AFK.

I do love the more grounded approach than PD2, and the gunplay and gameplay loop is solid as ever.

Edit: It appears the connection issues are resolved, so I'll update it - I don't want a game with amazing potential killed by massive negative reviews.

Edit: CA appear to be in the process of attempting to fix their issues, likely due to the feedback from the playerbase. While I am sure that it's financially motivated, I mean they *are* a company, and that's really what I'd expect! As long as the issues are fixed, it's all fine with me.

Unfortunately, I have had to change my review from overwhelmingly positive to overwhelmingly negative, based solely on the greed of CA and their attitude to the consumer base.

Subsequent DLC releases introduce more and more bugs, and fail to fix old bugs (some of which have been around since TW WH1) at increasingly inflated prices.

I could write a lot more, but I am sure you can see similar reviews published around the same time, which will go into far more depth as to the reasons the consumer base are mad at CA.

I just recommend crowdsourcing friends so that you can take it to those bloody maple syrup swilling HOSR workers.

CLICKING? What is this new fangled technology. I tell you h'wat, in my time we had a keyboard and we liked it.

Seems to basically be SWAT 5.

Tiny bit clunky in one or two aspects, but it's early access and literally just released.

I've played with randoms on discord and a bit of singleplayer, and it is definitely worth a shot.

Good ol' multiplayer fun.

Could totally benefit from more maps and more players, and I would love to see more gadgets implemented - things like the mirror cam and remote charges are great, and work really well.

Would also love to see more variety within the map - currently you see things like doors getting locked on a random basis, would be cool if things like air vents could be randomised (not sure if this is possible with engine) so as to see random passages open/closed depending on luck of the draw.

This is best enjoyed using the in-game VOIP and a pair of headphones, using external VOIP would remove some of the hilarity of listening to the other side chatting away. Community seems great too! It is basically mandatory to ham your way around the comms, insisting everyone finishes every sentence with over, making overly tactical **** up, and giggling at whatever happens.

I won't lie, the whole game is kind of janky, but in an adorable way.

My peak moment so far was witnessing a dude chuck a remote charge onto a balloon cam, drive it up along the intruder escaping with the briefcase and blow him up, ragdolling him so he flew off the bridge, never to deliver the case. Well done lads, well done.

I won't lie, I loved Evil Genius 1, and while I feel that EG2 missed a bit of the soul, the devs have well and truly scrambled to fix many of the problems on release. Good show, guys.

The drilling is an absolutely fantastic gun - you can nail 'em from a long range, or use a variety of shotgun rounds.

The nugget is pretty fun too.

Pistol is a bit niche, but still good.

Murder entire ecosystems with your cat buddy and friends.
