Slay the Spire 1? A couple thousand hours.
Perfect game.

StS2? I don't know how you improve on perfect but by god they're doing it.

Supergiant DOES NOT MISS.
Their first sequel.

"How do you improve on perfection?" Hade II asks.
It answers with new mechanics, double the areas and bosses as the original game, a new arsenal, visual updates to our favorite Olympians, and one the greatest soundtracks of the last few years. (This and Clair Obscur are tied for #1 in my personal rankings).
Combat with Mel is different enough from Zagreus in Hades I to feel unique, but familiar. Like playing a new character released for your favorite game.

Early Access has more content than many full release games. I cannot wait to play this more when it releases in a few hours

Going with a tentative positive as I find the loop very fun.

There are some unfun elements that the devs have already said they will be looking at in the future.
It is a little unclear what influence the stats on your units have on combat. 2 units with the same stats +atk/+def will perform VASTLY different against foes that aren't well explained.
The tentacle boss in world 2 is an absolute run ender and at this point feels like you arent beating without either a perfect team comp or good luck and cheese.
Hammerhead enemies are also brutal and have ended many of my runs where I believed (foolishly) that my scaling was locked down and where I needed to be based on other fights.
A little more clarity into units abilties, damage type, and resistances would go a long way towards alleviating this. It feels as though balance should be the next focus, as some units are MILES better than others.

However, even with my feedback/gripes I have won runs and I do keep coming back to it. This has real potential

Edit: 1st balance pass has happened. It is now easier to win with a well crafter and scaling build.
It now feels like a fundamental understanding of how to scale and create a synergistic build is going to be enough to win normal mode every time.
When is the last time an a20 StS player lost on ascension 0?
The game already feels far better than when I posted this review, and the devs are working on a bestiary/encyclopedia for the game, which will be a great addition.

Don't let my playtime fool you, im still kinda bad.
This game is just phenomenal.
You know your bosses ahead of time, which gives you time to plan your strategy. However, the random elements still mean that its challenging to get there. Multiple paths, tons of customization for your runs, your cards during the runs, and each faction combination has multiple viable strategies.

editing my review now that I've finished it.

Holy.
This is not just a game, it is a work of art.
Amazing soundtrack, battle system, story.
The visuals are top notch.

This game has a soul and it's beautiful

Digital Extremes deserves your time, and if you have any to spare: your money.
Warframe has continuously evolved over the years, everything in game is available to all players regardless of the size of their wallet (though you can certainly spend real money to acquire most of it faster).
Content is deep, with more game modes than you can shake a stick at. Story and Lore are compelling and emotional.
I've been playing since before the games main story was even introduced, and this game just keeps me coming back.

Recent DRM update killed the game.

Wont even launch UNMODDED now. Deleted all mods, reinstalled. No launch.

All this for what?

Great little autobattler with draft mechanics.

Made by some of the best Slay the Spire modders.

Interested to see how this scales in difficulty over the course of the game.

Definitely one to watch.

Yall thought vamp survivors was addictive.

Imagine vamp survivors and nova drift.

Bullet heaven/hell, upgrade paths, complex builds, bosses, waifus.

What's not to love.
