Ouch...

Honestly I was a bit surprised when Splitgate 2 released. I enjoyed the first one, the movement was clean, refreshing with a unique map design and simply fun weapons. The game felt unique, like it had character.
This sequel lacks what made the first one great, while not fixing any of its problems. The movements gotten worse, in my opinon. Portals are as good as they used to be, but the map design has limited their use, restricting them to just a tool for flanking, rather than the complex 3d movement of the original. The guns and characters weirdly enough don't feel unique, and just add complexity to a already complex play experience. Also, the game stutters, bad. Maybe its just my performance but I struggle to have a smooth experience here. I really do hope the devs improve this game, but I feel the foundations here just aren't what the game needed.

I'd reccomend giving it a download if you feel like it. Its free, but right now I personally wouldn't reccomend.

And here is why.
PlanetSide 2 is the best fps game I have played. Despite its age the graphics stand up to competition. The MMO feeling of the shooter makes some battles feel like a real war, tank shells fly overhead bullets flying everywhere. Its an experience that no other game can do. The only downside is the initial difficulty. Because of the huge 100+ player battles and the fact that every players is all in the same open world there is no skill matching. Stick with it though and will get a intensely rewarding experience.

This game is amazing. It is one of the best open world survival games I have ever played. Travel over breathtaking landscapes in a nimble Seamoth, hulking Cyclops or tramp across the ocean floor in the prawn suit. So far I have not continued the story too far but as far as I know It smoothly integrates itself into the game without damaging the open world survival aspect.

Pros:
Little to no grind
Scary(could be a horror game)
Decent building system
Awesome Vehicles

Cons:
Still got some pretty game breaking bugs, they are rare but perhaps not rare enough.
Not too well optimised. I have a decent PC (i5 10400F, RTX 3050) and play on high settings but the game lags when my base(medium size) and Cyclops are in the same area.

Overall: BUY IT (or not, you do you)
