This game is exactly what I expected of the studio that brought us Bastion.

A fresh and intricate method of gameplay is combined with SuperGiant's penchant for excellent narrative to make Transistor another stunning and emotional game. The game features a fresh visual style distinct from it's spiritual predecesor, and an immersive, gameplay-driven story system allows you to uncover deeper truth about the world of Cloudbank simply by trying all the game has to offer.

The game maintains new game plus, as well as the challenge modes from Bastion, and once again features the musical talent of Darren Korb, and the voice of Logan Cunningham (Rucks) as a dynamic duo, bringing a familiar yet distinct feel to the game that will please SuperGiant veterans and new players alike.

Q.U.B.E. (Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion) was always a favorite puzzler of mine. While bordering on the whitewashed, clean, and scientific feel of Portal in the visuals department, it still stood out on it's own, with fun and intuitive extrusion mechanics that made solving every puzzle both a learning experience and a reward. Unfortunately, the first game always lacked one thing: a good narrative. It was unfortunate that, as the protagonist, you made your way in complete silence through the abstract yet immersive environment of Q.U.B.E.

Director's Cut addressed that.

Director's Cut adds a touching and suspenseful narrative to an otherwise excellent puzzle game, to great success. I played the whole thing in one sitting, and never once did my poor posterior get a break fron the grinding point of the edge of my seat. The narrative keeps you guessing until the very end, and in that reguard, I happily hail Directors Cut as an effective and evocative replacement to the original Q.U.B.E.

Now get out there and start extruding!

Antichamber is a wonderful mixture of aestetics, puzzling, and exploration. The stark white 'dry-erase' feel, coupled with the juxtaposition of the vibrant puzzle elements makes for a deliciously beautiful visual. The puzzles are varied enough to both keep you on your toes and learning, while letting you practice what you've already learned. Sprinkled throughout the game are phrases of encouragement and wisdom that would not be unfit for a book on philosophy. Overall, Antichamber has a wonderful, self-explorative feel sure to peak your interest!
