There are very few games for me that hold my attention for long. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 made me feel like a younger version of myself, playing a new game from dawn to dusk. I could barely stand putting it down. I'd go to work and all I could do was think about this game - I'd go to sleep and think about this game. It's beautiful. The voice actors and writers are so damn talented. This game broke my heart and mended it. For such a small team that left such a big corporation, this game and it's team deserves every award that it's nominated for and then some.

I don't want to place any spoilers in this review. If you like turn based RPGs, if you don't, if you like very well written narratives, play this game. Without a doubt, this was my 2025 Game of the Year, this early on in April. Right now, I can't fathom any other game coming out this year that may make me feel the same way as this one did.

In conclusion: This game made me feel WHEEEE but also WHOOO but the WHEEEE balanced out the WHOOO. For a title to unfortunately be released on the same day Oblivion's unannounced remaster was, Expedition 33 is an incredible contender that deserves everyone's attention.
