Blue Mary when?

The existence of the new story actually elevates the original one in a weird way, I don't really dislike the old one that much anymore.

Oh my god this game actually made me cry. I wanted to play a cool platformer what the hell :(

This game is a huge improvement over the original one.

- Improved graphics and character animations, giving characters more personality
- Generally everything is bigger and more detailed which helps a lot.
- New characters are interesting and don't feel like wasted space
- The trials in the game are great mini tutorials and generally the game has a better way of teaching players in general.
- Still as hard as Risk of Rain 1
- Alternate moves and colours that make characters feel more personal
- Some items give your character model effects which is great.

Overall this game is amazing for a complete overhaul of the first game. I highly recommend this.

God I suck at this game so much.

The game is short, yes (If you're like me and just wanted to see the story and skipped all the challenges), but I think the main treat is the extremely gratifying soundtrack which features a lot of famous metal singers like Alissa White-Gluz. For the price they're selling it for, I do recommend this 100% for the soundtrack alone.

Considering that a new metal album costs around 17-20€. You're basically paying extra for the game haha.

Probably the most approachable Fromsoft game. You get to decide how hard you want the game to be, not via a difficulty option, but in game mechanics such as summons, weapon choices, etc. Story is still as vague as ever, though this time we have G.R.R.M's mythos to work with as well. One of the biggest pluses in this game though is the freedom of expression you can do with all the potential builds and weapon arts.

100% recommend.

Edit: I forgot to mention that at the time of me writing this the performance issues haven't been fully fixed which is a bummer, so if you're on the fence about that, I recommend waiting for a patch.

The game is great if you're willing to slog through the weird janky lobby that Arcsys insisted was a key part to the experience. The tower system itself is great, but the way they implemented is was horrendous and now we have to wait for them to slowly fix the lobbies to a state where I don't need to communicate with the servers for about a minute after launching the game.

Other then that, great fighting game. I'm having a blast playing this and I reccomend this game to anyone interested in fighting games and especially if you've been burned by the god awful netcode on previous games like Tekken 7. Hopefully Rollback becomes standard in everything after this.

Please send help I can't stop playing this.
